168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Psychonauts 2 is a tough game about the mind. It's a game about how one's perception of reality can be altered to better suit a biased narrative, regardless of the facts. But nothing less can be expected of a complex adventure-puzzle (turned mecha robot fighting) game.
By the end of your ten-hour gameplay, you would've learned how to manage your emotions and mental clutter better. You also would have seen the complex psyches of heroes, villains, and even everybody else in between. It was a journey to leap from one brain to another (literally), and Psychonauts 2 left many words to live by in the process.
Warning: Various degrees of spoilers ahead.
10 It's Okay To Not Belong
"Initiation rituals are a common method for a specialized social group to integrate foreign elements while preserving the social exclusivity of the group."
That may not be the most comforting thing to say to somebody who just had their cloth꧟es stole𒁏n as they were locked in a cold artifact room, but Agent Nein is right about this one. We also know that this is his way of patting Raz on the back after what was done to him, after giving him a fashionable change of clothes, of course.
People are afraid of others foreign to them and don't want the balance of what they know now to change. Even if the trick pulled on Raz was nasty, it was the other kids' way of making sure the order of their group was maintained.
9 If You Never Try, You'll Never Know
"Then again, how do we know we can change things unless we try?"
Although this mental connection was created chaotically by Raz, we would never know how to solve things unless we try to find solutions through unorthodox means. What followed after those words were reckless actions coming from Agent Hollis. It's also a good reminder not to dive into things recklessly just because you're desperate for an answer.
But it's also crucial not to become a stick in the mud that won't budge just because of preconceived beliefs. A good balance between risk and reward shouldn't make it possible for you to (literally) grow a casino in your head like Agent Hollis.
8 People Aren't Broken, They Just Have Demons They Need to Fight
"We're not here to change people's minds, Raz. Not here to "fix" people. We're here to help people fight off their own demons. The ones they already have."
As if capable of seeing the future, Agent Hollis was able to predict what the plot of this game revolved around. Plot aside, this quote stands well on its own when reminding people that nobody truly needs "fixing." Sometimes, people just go through bad times and many things that they shouldn't, which complicates their psyche.
But that doesn't mean that these people, especially the ones you care about, should suffer alone. You can be there for them, even if you're not necessarily a psychonaut that can go inside their head. Sometimes, being a shoulder to cry on is enough.
7 ⛎ Memories Can Hold Us Back From Moving Oꦕn
"Who needs to think about the past all the time? Some memories are best left alone."
Agent Ford lost the person dearest to him and had his mind shattered. But the past is in the past, and reminiscing it at times can bring an immeasurable amount of pain that we might not be willing to relive. That is why forgetting certain memories often become a defense mechanism for some people, and there's nothing wrong with that.
If your past negatively affects your present, it's good to have a strategy to get all the emotional baggage off your chest. But leaving memories alone isn't equivalent to forgetting, and much later down the line, it would still be good to revisit them to tie loose ends just like how Agent Ford did.
6 𒆙 We Need To Make Tough Decisions
"Well, sometimes we need that darkness. To survive."
Agent Ford was talking about how war changes people. In this context, he may have been talking about how the psychonauts, including himself, had to make decision🎶s to save people (even those they love who h💫ave been consumed by darkness).
There were many times in the game that he had to make morally questionable decisions in order to make sure those he cared about survived, but you can commend him for making the decision himself when no other psychonaut could. Without making "dark" decisions, it would've been difficult for him to forgive himself.
5 🌺 The Mind Is Unlimit🔜ed
"The mind is the final frontier of humanity and we've only begun to explore its mysteries."
As suspicious as Agent Otto is, given the Brain Frame and the NDA Raz apparently signed as a psychonaut implying that he'd have to give his brain up after he passes away, the mind is a valuable asset. Its limits are yet to be known. This is also reflected in the earlier days of the psychonauts, as disclosed by Agent Ford, where experiments stretched the limits of the human minds to almost illegal extents.
But that's a price you'll have to pay for knowing more, and there's no room for the squeamish in the face of pure, hard science. But it's also that unlimited nature that may unleash the negative, which reminds us that having limits isn't bad, especially if it keeps us from harming others.
4 Loneliness Warps The Pe𓆏rcepti🌌on of Time
"When you're alone as long as I was, time loses some of its meaning, and your perception of it becomes your reality."
We've all experienced this during our time in the pandemic when isolation and social distancing was a rule enforced among most, if not all, countries. Most of us spent our time locked up all alone in separate rooms from loved ones ranging from days to even months.
You probably have some family members you haven't seen in years, which isn't out of choice, but because circumstances wouldn't let you see them. Helmut didn't have a choice after being parted from his body, but at least his mind can rest easy now that he's met his loved ones again.
3 Memories Are All About Perspective 🎉
"Memories, my boy. Just a show we put on inside our heads."
Expect nothing less than grand from Helmut, who loves a dramatic introduction and exit from the scene. Throughout the whole quest with Helmut, we had to help him remember who he was: the good, the bad, and the ugly. But at the end of it all, we were able to help him 🅺battle through his regrets and doubts.
That experience aided him in looking at his memories more positively, reminding him that the sacrifice he made was worth it and that he wasn't abandoned by his comrades at all (given that his brain was back at HQ).
2 🃏 Our Personality is Made of Many People
"Important challenges in our lives can cause us to create entirely new identities for ourselves, sometimes summoning powerful archetypes from our unconscious mind..."
When we meet Cassie, her personality was divi෴ded into four, with three of these personalities being in conflict against one personality who controls them all. The lesson in all ofꦛ this is to learn how to forgive yourself for your failures, and you should also embrace different facets of your personality despite the shortcomings they might have.
Different parts of you are born because of your experiences, and it's important to understand those parts to be at peace with yourself.
1 ဣ Mind Over Matter 𝓰
"Don't care who you've courted, the feelings must be sorted!"
The messy mail room must've reflected the messy state of his heart, but as funny as this quote is, there are times we'll have to put feelings aside to get things done. That's why Raz was able to finish his mission, even after the shocking revelation he was rudely confronted with.
It's important to know how to compartmentalize our feelings when we have a lot on our plate or we wouldn't get anything done.
