8 ☂ ⛄ Austin Powers-Aquato
- Who Sees This: Milla Vodello
In the first Psychonauts game, Milla saw Raz as a baby swa🐼ddled in a blanket. We’re to assume that she sees all the campers this way - as innocent and defenceless children that need to be ꦗprotected.
However, now that Raz has proven himself, she sees him as the fun-loving young man that he is. It’s also probably a reference to Austin Powers, a charismatic and unusual spy who starre🎃d in a series of films from the 1990s.
7 Prom-Boyꦜfriend Razputin 🌱
- Who Sees This: Truman Zanotto (post-game)
Lili Zanotto is Raz’s girlfriend. She’s also the daught༒er of the First Head of the Psychonauts, Truman Zanotto. When you use clairvoyance on Truman, you get an image of Razputin in a blue tuxedo and a bowtie, holding flowers. It’s an exaggerated image of a teenager attending an American prom. Or, just an overeager young man on a date. Truman isn’t blind, after all - he sees what’s coming!
6 🍌 Eddie Riggs 🌼
- Who Sees This: Helmut Fullbear
Helmut Fullbear is played by 🍌the famous actor Jack Black. This little easter egg is included as a nod to him: Helmut sees Razputin as a miniature Eddie Riggs, a character in another Double Fine g🔯🙈ame, Brütal Legend, who was also voiced by Jack Black!
Some fans have pointed out that Riggs’ description about how a “good roadie knows his whole job is to make someone else look good, keep ♓someone else safe, help someone else do what they were put here to do” could also apply to Raz.
5 Your Intern Statu🔯s
- Who Sees This: Employees In The Motherlobe
They just couldn’t help but poke fun at 🐷your role as an intern in this game. Several of the characters around the Motherlobe see Raz for the chores you could do for them. Lori thinks Raz can bring her coffee, while Kim wants Raz to get her some cigarettes. Terryl is overenthusiastic in wanting to make you a new friend, so she sees Raz as a blank nametag. Chet and Sherri think the little intern is going to cause trouble by listening to their conversations.
4 💃 The Soccer Player
- Who Sees This: Larry and Pam
Most agents that you interact with during the course of the game have possession of their bodies. However, there are two psychonauts in the Motherlobe, Larry and Pam, who are just brains rolling around in balls full of green liq🍷uid. Both of them see꧙ Raz as a soccer player.
They seem to be worried that this little boy will decide to start playing with them - kicking them around like a soccer ball! Be෴ careful not to use telekinesis on them and confir♐m their fears.
3 ❀ A Delicious Tin Can
- Who Sees This: Goats (in the real world and in Compton’s mind)
Goats have a reputation for eating anything tha𒐪t isn’t tied down - including, famously, tin cans. Of course, they don’t actually eat cans. It’s thought that this myth came around because goats are rather smart and were able to look inside of cans for food.
Regardless, the myth is perpetuated here: the goats you interact with outside the Motherlobe see you 📖as a deli🤪cious tin can.
2 Pretzel-In🐓-The-Making
- Who Sees This: Gerda
When you’re inside of Cassie’s mind, there are little paper characters scattered throughout. One of those is Gerda, an innocent-looking young girl wearing a ꦑdress. When you talk to her, though, you’ll discover that she pushed her father into a pretzel machine because, according to her, she thought it was his secret wish.
This little gi🧜rl might just be a murderer, though. Not only is there a book near her entitled “The Pretzel Machine Murders,” but she sees Raz as a pretzel, surely showing her desire to push Raz into 🦹the pretzel machine too!
1 Bacon Guy
- Who Sees This: Colin
Once you get your Clairvoyance badge, you may - like so many other players - just start reading the mind of anyone in sight. Imagine your shock when one Motherl🍬obe employee’s vision is full of floating, sparkling bacon! This is a Psychonaut named Colin.
This is actually a mini-story within the game. He loves bacon, while another Motherlobe employee is in love with him. After you’ve completed a few more missions, come back to check ⛎on them! You can talk to her and she’ll tell you that she’s started wearing bacon perfume. Now, when you use Clairvoyance on him, he’s in love.
