168澳洲幸运5开奖网:PUBG, like many titles in the battle royale subgenre, is ꧋heavy on action and light on lore. Players from all over the world drop onto an island whose origin story they know almost nothing about. But that’s all about to change.
PUBG Corp. released the second (maybe last) installment of Mysteries Unknown last month, unveiling the backstory of a new map in the form of a four-minute mockumentary. Featuring narration from Johnathan Franks (Star Trek) and a macabre sensibility, Mysteries Unknown details the inevitable downfall of a prehistoric-themed amusement park, Dinoland, which once occupied what is now the snow-covered PUBG map, Vikendi.
Dinoland is a lot like Jurassic Park. No, the park didn’t have real dinosaurs or Jeff Goldblum in his prime. But, like the Jurassic Park from Steven Spielberg’s 1994 sci-fi classic, ꦕDinoland was a ticking time bomb.
In the video, Dinoland is explained as a “prehistoric park of the future” and “the happiest place on earth.” After the park’s original owner, “estee♒med billionaire”🐷 Carl Yohan Lindh, meets an untimely demise, his inauspicious and ill-starred son takes over, carrying a spate of disasters in his wake.
The first such disaster surrounds the death of Dinoland’s lovable mascot, Alex the T-Rex. Named after Lindh’s own son, the dinosaur was “cut in h🍷alf” after stepping in front of a train—an apparent suicide. The only witness? Alex Lindh himself, of course.
🌱The family faced a series of subsequent lawsuits and 🔴the park’s stock plummeted. After Lindh's death and a decade of silence, it is announced that Alex Lindh will sell the park to an “unknown” (wink*) buyer for an undisclosed amount of money.
Who might this mysterious buyer be? The end of the video features what we can assume i♊s Alex Lindh addressing the viewers. “I found a new father, aꦓnd I like his game much better!” he growls desperately. Finally, Alex bellows, "Winner, winner, chicken dinner!" before the screen cuts to black.
It isn’t clear if PUBG Corp. plans to continue the Mysteries Unknown anthology or release lore for 🐠the game’s other islands, but any world-building done by the dev team will surely only augment the title’s historic success ahead of the new season.
