Even though Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds has been losing players ever so slowly fo𒐪llo☂wing its of over 3.2 million concurrent playeꦕrs in December 2017, it’s clear thജat PUBG Corp. has no intention of giving in to its battle royale competition and will not go down without a fight. The game recentl🥀y received its 30th update, which may provide players w🐎ith just enough reasons to be interested in jumping back into the fray for that ever-elusive chicken dinner.

brings with it a new weapon and v🐟ehicle, as well as a way to get a leg up on the competi▨tion (literally): ledge grabbing.

Ledge grab allows players to climb roofs, fences, and other obstacles that formerly weren’t scalable. In order to perform the grab, press the spacebar to jump or vault, then p🦩ress it again in midair to actually grab onto the edge of whatever you’re trying to climb. Push the spacebar again to cancel the action. The catch? The maximum height for grabbing onto something is only 2.5 meters, but hey, at least it’s something, right?

The development team notes that this is 🥂the first iteration of the ledge grab feature, but they are working on other ledge-grabbing abilities, such as hanging on the side of railings and sliding down them.

The update also brings a new weapon to the battlefield in the form of The Deagle handgun, which boasts the stronge✃st pistol damage in the game at 62 damage per shot, with up to ten rounds of .45 ACP ammo. Qualifying attachments include red-dot and holographic sights, magazines, and laser sight.

The new vehicle available with Update #30 is the BRDM-2, which replaces the UAZ, and is a “bulletpr🦹oof vehicle that can reduce incoming damage such as ammunition based assaults as well as grenades and red zone damage.” The amphibious vehicle is well-equipped to traverse different types of terrain with a top water speed of 22km/h and a top road speed of 102km/h when using boost. The BRDM-2’s total HP is 2,500 with wheels that don’t take any damage. Unfortunately, players, of which there can be up to four, cannot shoot while on board the vehicle; and don’t expect to see the BRDM-2 parked out in the open, as can only be called in as a special Care Package through the use of the Flare Gun.
