San Francisco Shock fans have a lot to be ecstatic for during the 2020 season. The Shock are the defending champions and the front runner to repeat at the Grand Finals and they have some of the best talent in the league including reigning MVP Jay "Sinatra🌞a" Won. On top of all that, fans in the San Francisco area will have the opportunity to see their team live for the Shock's first homestand on March 28th-29th. To make the festivities sweeter, the homestand will be hosted by🙈 Chris Puckett, a legendary esports figure and one of the best esports hosts in the world.
Puckett spent the first two seasons of the Overwatc🔜h League working on the analyst desk as the host (along with a bunch of other facets) and supplied viewers with his energetic personality both at home and at the Blizzard Arena in Los Angeles. It was sad when Puckett announced he would not be returning to a full-time position with the Overwatch League as his wife, Molly, received a work promotion and brought them back to living in New York City.
His heartfelt twitter thread highlighted aꦿll the top-tier talent the Overwatch League held in terms of broadcasting throughout the first two seasons and for those moving forward tꦅhrough the 2020 season and beyond. He announced he would be moving into a freelancer position with the hopes of working in a plethora of games instead of just a focus on the Overwatch League.
So far, things have worked out for Chris Puckett 💮since the announcement. He hosted the opening weekend of the inaugural season of the Call of Duty League in Minnesota as well as a reunion with the Overwatch League as the opening weekend host for the New York Excelsior's homestand. His next announced venture will be with San Francisco at the end of March but could possibly pop up again before that in another scene. Either way, Chris Puckett has been able to do what he excels at, being one of the best esports hosts in the world.
