Bethesda has announced that this y🦩ear's QuakeCon convention will be held on August 7-9. For the first time in the event's 25 year history, QuakeCon will be held remotely through the comfort of the internet. Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic that isn't slowing down (especially in Texas), it was safer to keep everyone at home and hold competitions online.
One of the biggest elements of QuakeCon was the BYOC section. A🅰n entire hall was dedicated to intrepid engineers that would show off their custom computer ca🔯ses to the world. While that won't be able to happen in a physical sense, Bethesda will be dedicating an entire Twitch stream to the wacky concoctions that people come up with. I'm dying to see if another coffee pot PC will make an appearance.
QuakeCon will also be hosting a few charity initiatives with proceeds going to The Trevor Project, the NAACP, UNICEF, and others. You'll be able to donate directly from Twitch, so you won'🃏t need to miss any of the competitiꦦons going on.
Finally, some unique merchandise will be available this year that focuses on the different animal charities that QuakeCon will host. I'm really partial to the "Catodemon" shirt and the "Dogvahkiin" t-shirt ꦑis precious. You can find out more info꧙ over on .
