With the boss' affinities changing as it depletes🍸 in HP, you'll need to have a good spread of damage types available.

Raidou can cover each of these forms' weaknesses with his Summoner Skills, but it's wise to use a good spread of demons that have high Magic stats to lay on the right kind of element⛦al damage. Additionally, Raidou can't use death magic himself, so you'll need to rely on a demon or two for the final stage of the battle.

That🃏 said, keep conflicting a🥃ffinities in mind, because Hitokotonushi cycles through kinds of elemental damages between forms. Ice, wind, fire, and death skills will all be coming your way, so be prepared to defend against weaknesses or heal demons as needed via Skill Order demons or your slew of items.

How To Defeat Hitokotonushi

Hitokotonushi may be a Wind Order demon, but you'll be fighting through four individual stages of the battle, during which it will consistently switch affinities as its physical form changes. This happens roughly every 25 percent of its HP, so keep chipping away at one form to goad Hitokotonushi into changing, and be prepared to swap your demons out as needed to continue hitting its inconsistent weak spots.

Offensively, each form has its own attack list, to🌃o. You'l🔯l be up against:

• Ice magic during its first form, with the additional danger of being put to sleep with Dormina in addition to taking some mind damage.
• Fire magic when the second Hitokotonushi emerges, with a couple good physical damage moves to keep Raidou at a distance.
• Electric magic from the third form, with physical damage moves for dealing damage both in a small radius and in a straight line - no safe place to stand during this stage!
• Death magic at last, when Hitokotonushi is on its last legs. It's still got some good physical moves, too, though, so watch out.

For the most part, you'll notice that Hitokotonushi uses magic in proximity to itself, so you may want to consider hanging back and opting for ranged versions of the magic it's weak to during this fight.
