Dragon Road sees you run along Sonic Unleashed's version of the Great Wall of China, with various pieces of oriental dragon decor as well. One of the big features of this stage is the fact that it introduces the mechanic of you being able to run on water so long as you keep the speed up.
It's not possible to take a route that avoids the water entirely in either version of the game, but there are a few secrets hidden along the water paths if you're brave enough to explore at high speed. And the water itself is graphically stunning too.
4 Cool Edge
It can be tricky to ma💝ke an interesting snow level, but Sonic Unleashed manages to succeed with the frozen landscape of Holoska thanks to clever use of set pieces, although the actual areas you explore depend on the version you're playing.
The HD version starts you off in various glaciers and ice shelves bef꧙ore running along the back of humpback whales in a bobsled, whereas the SD version omits the whale but takes you into the various underground caverns, which look beautiful thanks to the blue hues of the environment.
3 💟 Skyscraper Scamper 🥂
This level is exclusive to the HD version, which is unfortunate because it's brilliant to play. As the name suggests, you're running along the skyscrapers and roads of Empire City, going to the very top of the city skyline and then heading back down to sprint along the various bridges.
There have been various city-themed levels across Sonic's games, and whilst Empire City may not be a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:perfect recreation of real-wo꧒rld New York, it's one of the best demonstrations of just how fast Sonic can really go.
2 S𝕴avannah Citadel
Another level exclusive to the HD version of Unleashed, this level serves as Sonic's first route towards one of the Temples of Gaia. It's also another desert level, albeit with more of a focus on the savannah wilderness as opposed to huge dunes of sand.
Savannah Citadel looks utt🐬erly beautiful, and there are several alternate pathways available thanks to the various launchers. The best part is when you get to the trees near the end which extend ever upwards in their enormity, and you can see the open wilderness for miles around.
1 Rooftop Run 💮
Rooftop Run is such a joyous stage. Starting from the city center, you make your way 🃏through narrow alleyways and across the aqueducts, all to reach the very top of the clock tower before coming back d꧂own into the main city.
The biggest reason why this stage is so popular is that it feels so happy. The feeling of rushing across the rooftops of Spagonia whilst listening to the music is enough to put a grin on anyone's face, which is why fans voted for its return in Sonic Generations.
