Lorbs are a strange collectible in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, because rather than being spread over all the different planets, they're concentrated on one: Savali. This is one of the earlier planets Ratchet will visi🌄t, and he will go there alone. However, he is free to return throughout the game, a⭕nd will have to return at least once later in the story.
Savali is also where you pick up Kit, or as she's known at the time, KT-7461. This is part of the storyline with the Lorbs, as you're asked to fetch them by the Monks, who Kit was studying with. This is the quest Hunt For Lombax Lore, which has three stages, although each stage is just 'Collect X Lorbs' until the final stage asks you to collect them all.

There are 12 in total, each spread across the map. The order doesn't really matter, and we're just presenting them here in the order we found them in - that seems as good a method as any. The Lorbs are basically the game's audio logs, and reveal the story of a lombax exploring different dimensions - listen out for some neat references to other games being discovered by this dimension hopping lombax.
Ratchet & Clank: Hunt For Lombax Lore
Head over to the quest marker to start the quest. You'll be asked to find three Lorbs, but there's one right there, so that's one down straight away.
The second Lorb is over🥂 on the far west of the map, in the little lip below 🌞the small canyon.
It's sitting inside of a mini arena.
The third Lorb is right beneath the Gold Bolt on the raised plinth. It's inside a dome, and you'll need to follow the wire leading off it and step on the pads to open the dome and gain access to it.
At this point, head back to the Monk. He'll give you a map to the other 9, as well as a piece of armour. He'll ask you to collect another seen, which gives another piece of armour, and then the rest, which gives the final piece of armour. The fourth Lorb is on a raised platform near town. Yo🎀u need to use the boost ramp nearby to reach it.
The fifth Lorb is on the raised area around the centre of the map. It's inside a moving ship so we can't pinpoint it on the map, but circle around the whole area between the metallic structures and you'll come across it soon enough.
The sixth Lorb is near the boost paths used to reach the Gold Bolt in the middle of the map that has a portal linked to it. It's in a cave.
You'll need to fight off some indigenous enemies to recover it.
The seventh Lorb is 🧔in 🌜the middle of the map on the edge of a cliff.
You'll need to shoot the red columns as they light up to get it out of the ground.
The eighth Lorb is on a cliff just north of the seventh. You'll need to bounce on a mushroom and rift across to reach it.
The ninth Lorb is to the east of the eighth.
It is defended by indigenous enemies.
The tenth Lorb is in a cave tucked in the south of the map, near the Gold Bolt. It's in a cave guarded by boxes. Once you break them, you'll need to fight off some enemies.
The eleventh Lorb is in on nub of land on the south of the main island. You'll need to complete a short traversal course to get there.
The twelfth Lorb is on the south island.
You'll need to rift up to it then grind across to it.
