Sony had remained tight-lipped up until that point on what gamers can expect from the next-gen console. The event included a boatload of games that will 𝓀be available at the end of 2020 and into 2021, and also that two versions of the PS5 will be availa🌠ble at launch.
However, the biggest talking point coming out of the event was the PS5's design. Sony waited for a long time before it let gamers see what wa꧙s coming🎶, and suffice to say people watching were pretty surprised.
The last three PlayStation consoles have basically been black blocks. Not the PS5. The next-gen offering looks almost like a spaceship, and why wouldn't it in 2020? Plus, it's white, which is very out of character for a PlayStation console. As would have been the case no matter what it looked like, the PS5's design has its detractors. For those people, we have somꦏe potentially good news.
An image has leaked online which shows an alternative design for the console. It is red and black instead of white and blue and honestly, if we are given the choice at launch, we will be going with red and black all the way. The image was leaked by BarrBarr via ResetEra wh𝔉o claims༒ it's a part of Sony's recent marketing materials, hence the other Sony products featured alongside the PS5.
There are a couple of reasons to believe the image is one that has been subject to a little PhotoShop. If you take a closer look at the console, there is a blue glow present. Perhaps the blue glow that can be seen on the white version that hasn't been edited🎐 out. The accompanying DualSense controller also appears to have a couple of white parts left on its handles.
