Best Collared Peccary Locations
The best place to hunt Collared Peccaries is in the Rio Bravo region of New Austin.
- Starting to the west, there is a population of peccary to the east of Benedict Point that spreads south towards the San Luis River.
- There’s a smaller population southeast of Benedict’s Pass.
- But Collared Peccaries dwell in slightly larger numbers south of the train tracks between Benedict’s Pass and Mercer Station.
- Southeast of there, you can find more peccaries near the western border of Fort Mercer.
- Continuing in the southern direction there is another peccary habitat east of Plainview.
- You can also find a smattering of Collared Peccaries roaming along Rio Bravo’s northeastern border from Mercer Station down just north of Rio Del Lobo Rock.
The other area to scout Collared Peccary is in New Austin’s Cholla Springs region.
- You can try your luck with a small population that dwells at the foot of Jorge’s Gap, east of Mercer Station.
- Northwest of that location, above Jorge’s Gap the most prominent Peccary population in Cholla Springs, can be found in the region’s central area.
- Directly northwest of that location you may spot a few more Collared Peccaries along the foot of the mountain ridge that lines New Austin’s northern border.
- From there, there are a couple more habitats you may stumble across as you make your way southwest into New Austin’s Gaptooth Ridge region.
