Gold Currant Locations
New Hanover
Golden Currants grow most abundantly in New Hanover’s Roanoke Valley. You can find them up and down this Eastern region of the state. However, just West of the abandoned Van Horn Trading Post will be your best bet. The land between the Van Horn Trading Post and the Kamassa River seems to provide the best Golden Currant yields in RDR2. You ca🌄n tra🅠ck this growth up to the bottom of the Elysian Pool, where a couple more Golden Currant plants grow on either side of the river bank.
There is also a nominal growth of Golden Currant a little ways Southwest from Van Horn. From the primary vegetation just west of the post, head dirಌectly south past the large bend in the Kamassa River. You should find a plant or two growi🥂ng near the river on its southern bank on the bottom corner of the bend.
You can forage for Golden Currants up North in Roanoke Valley as well. There is a light smattering of the vegetation growing along the tracks on the far Eastern border of the state.
West Elizabeth
New Hanover yields plenty of Golden Currants alone, but if you’ve ridden up and down Roanoke Valley pi♏cking all there is to gather and still find yourself in need, you’r𓆉e not out of luck yet. There are a couple more Golden Currant harvests to be had over in West Elizabeth.
Golden Currants grow along the border between West Elizabeth’s Tall Trees and Great Plains regions. Coming over from New Hanover, the first one you can pick up sits along the southern bank of the Upper Montana River. Right where the river bends as the forested reg🍒ion gives way to the Great Plains.
The second Golden Currant location in West Elizabeth can be found a little further south, just West of the Manzanita Outpost on the Tall Trees side of the border.
