The Loon is a breed of bird in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Red Dead Redemption 2 and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Red Dead Online. There are three൲ variations that can be found in the game; the Common, Pacific, and Yellow-billed Loon. All of which can be spotted in various region✃s throughout West Elizabeth, Ambardino, New Hanover, and Lemoyne.
Loons provide gamey meat which isn’t the most appetizing, but you can eat it if need be. Hunting them will also yield Loon Feathers, Flight Feathers, and the animal’s carcass. They also pop up as tasks in Red Dead Online’s Daily Challenges, which is likely why you’re searching for these birds in particular. So here are the best Loon hunting locations in RDR2 and RDO.
Best Loon Locations
New Austin
The Loon population is all but non-existent down in New Austin. The only place they are likely to appear is around Stillwater Creek off of the Lower Montana River, just over ꦡthe border from West Elizabeth.
West Elizabeth
- Like much of the wildlife in Red Dead Redemption 2, Loons have made a home around the Arora Basin.
-
The Upper Montana River is another good place to check.
- The stretch of the river south of Riggs Station, where Hawkeye Creek meets up with the main channel should have some Loons.
- Loons can also be sighted hunting along the majority of the river after it turns northward up the state.
- The Owanjila spring, towards the northernmost point of the Upper Montana River, is also a popular habitat for these birds.
- Loons also hunt along the stretch of the Dakota River running west to North of Flatneck Station. You’ll likely find them on both the West Elizabeth and New Hanover sides of the river.
Ambardino
- You’ll come across more Loons by following the Dakota River up into Ambardino. Specifically, north of Valentine just before it bends around Cumberland Forest.
- Cattail Pond is also always worth checking out when hunting for Loons.
- O’Creagh’s Run, in the center of The Grizzlies East, is the only other reliable spot in Ambardino we have found for Loon hunting.
New Hanover
- The Kamassa River is your best bet when in New Hanover. Specifically in the Northern Roanoke Ridge region. You can find Loon habitats sporadically all along from above the Brandywine Drop, trailing down to the Elysian Pool.
- There’s a more condensed population further downstream around the second of the three river bends southwest of Van Horn Trading Post.
Lemoyne
- The best Loon hunting in Lemoyne is out on the isles in Flat Iron Lake of the shores of Lemyone’s Scarlet Meadows.
- Otherwise, you may find a small population hunting in the waters between Lagras and Lakay in the Bayou Nwa.
