Moose Locations
West Elizabeth
- Starting with the moose’s Southernmost location, you may encounter them along the road between the Manzanita Outpost and the Aurora Basin.
- You may also have some luck searching the Northern Tall Trees region directly North of the location marked above.
- You can sometimes spot moose on the other side of the Arora Basin, near the Western bank.
- Heading further upstate, there is a location along the Upper Montana River South of Strawberry, where the river splits briefly to form a couple of small islands.
- A little ways East from that stretch of river, moose have also been spotted near a crossroads on the way to Strawberry.
New Hanover
- Moose can typically be found grabbing a drink at either prominent bend in the Dakota River, which divides the territories of West Elizabeth and New Hanover.
-
The only other moose sightings in New Hanover have occurred far North in the Roanoke Ridge region around Annesburg.
- First, check along the large river bend Northwest of Annesburg.
- The second location is the legendary moose that can be encountered in RDR2. You’ll find this majestic gray-haired beast dwelling far North, above Brandywine Drop. We have marked this unique location in white in order to differentiate it on the map.
-
The legendary Knight moose is said to appear somewhere along the Kamassa River, Though we have not marked this one on the map, as a specific location has not been pegged down.
- We advise searching along the banks running throughout Roanoke Ridge, near where other moose sightings have occurred.
- This black-coated moose appears only in small time windows around 8 AM and 8 PM.
Ambardino
-
Heading into Ambardino, there have been moose sightings in the Grizzlies East.
- Check Southeast of Calumet Ravine, about between where the “I” and “N” in Ambardino fall on the map.
- Moose have also been known to show up in the Grizzlies West around Cairn Lake from time to time.
-
And finally, the legendary Snowflake moose has been spotted around Barrow Lagoon, located centrally in the Grizzlies West. This location has also been marked in white on the map.
- Aptly named, this moose’s coat is as white as snow, allowing it to blend in easily with its surroundings, though its black antlers can sometimes give it away.
- Like the Knight Moose, the Snowflake Moose only appears around 8 AM and 8 PM, though it is even more fickle by only stepping out in rainy weather.
