Within graveyards, you will find several graves spread out in the area, as well as some that may appear different ꦅthan others. These graves have a fog around them꧟ with black, drip-like effects and will ultimately need to be cleaned. In this guide, we will cover how to do just that.

How To Find Graveyards

Graveyards are not marked on a map when you first enter a new area. Instead, you w💦ill need to set out and find them yourself. Fortunately, it will be very clear that you've entered one.

After visiting a graveyard for the first time, its icon will then appear on your map.

Once you enter into an area with flat stone graves, you're in the graveyard. There may also be a large tree nearby. Additionally, the uncleansed graves will be noticeable from a distance.

How To Cleanse Graves

To get the most out of a graveyard, you should cleanse the graves that have negative energy around them. Thankfully, this is an easy process. To do this, you'll need a pine branch. At this point, you have one that Baba Jaga gave you, but you can also find one from the large tree in the graveyard.

Here at TheGamer, we struggled to actually equip the pine branch when facing a grave. To fix this, we headed to the area with the low-hanging pine branch and interacted with the blue particle effect a few times until the pine branch was equipped.

With the pine branch in hand, head to any uncleansed grave and interact with it. This will cause you to wave the branch around as the effects fade. From here, you will be able to open the grave and retrieve its contents.

Why Cleanse Graves?

Cleansing graves is a great way to get new items. After cleansing each one, you can loot the contents. Often, this will result in a skull, but there are other items that you can find. We've found a selection of skulls, small decorations, and even a decorative wagon wheel.
