How To Unlock The Thorn Long Gun
Much like many weapons in this game, acquiring the Thorn gun requires obtaining its crafting material, the Regurgitated Spiny Sac. However, ob🔯taining this material can b🍰e quite tricky.
When you first start the Forgotten Kingdom DLC, you'll find yourself in the Ancient Canopy. Begin by progressing ahead, crossing the branch, and climbing the stairs to your left. Continue ascending until you encounter a waterfall. Here, climb the rocks ahead, then turn right instead of following the stairs.
From this point, proceed straight ahead until you eventually reach a bird's nest with a blue egg. DO NOT PICK IT UPᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚ, but remember its location because we'll need it later.
Now, progress through the DLC storyline and defeat the final boss. Afterward, you should hear bird noises. Return to the nest where you found the egg, and you'll now encounter the Kuri Kuri bird. This bird will vomit up the Regurgitated Spiny Sac, the crafting material you need.
With the crafting material in hand, all you need to do is head back to Ward 13 and visit McCabe where you'll be able to craft the Thorn Long Gun.
While our experience involved defeating the final boss and then returning to find the bird, some players reported hearing the bird n🐻oises before defeating the boss and subsequently encountering the b🤡ird at the nest.
