During today's PC Gaming Show, Gunfire Games revealed the final expansion for their hit shooter/soulslike Remnant: From The Ashes. Called Subject 2923, ꦕthe DLC will conclude the game's story while introducing a brand new world to e🌞xplore.
The trailer for Subject 2923 (seen below) begins with images of familiar settings and enemies from Remnant while a voice-over narration explain that the root have a never gateway ไto earth some🦹where. Maybe, he posits, the root isn't the only thing we have to worry about. Suddenly, a 100-foot Norse god appears, followed by a rapid-fire introduction of tons of new bosses and enemies coming to in the new expansion.
While Remant's first DLC, Swamps of Corsus, featured a new survival game mode, Subject 2923 will feature a brand new campaign that picks up where the bas🎀e game left off. Players will discover theꦏ origin of 'The Dreamers' as they explore a brand new world called Reisum. What's more, players will also explore a new zones on Earth, including an abandoned military base.
It wouldn't be a Remnant expansion without new weapons, and Subject 2923 is sure to bring a variety of new guns, m✅ods, armor sets, and trinkets to collect over multiple runs through Reisum. Survival Mode will also be💎 updated to include new zones and bosses.
During the Future Game Show, Gunfire presented the first gameplay footage of Subject 2923. The planet Reisum ꦅis a snow-covered forest surrounded by distant mountains. Reisum is home to a completely new race of humanoid rat creatures, some of 🍰which look like giant rat-bat hybrids that fly around and dive at players.
Later on, some gameplay show new root enemies typesജ in familiar looking Earth environments. No new guns or bosses are revealed in the gameplay footage, other than the ones seen in the reveal trailer.
Remnant: From The Ashes and the first expansion, Swamps of Corsus are available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Subject 2923 will launch this August. Currently, the base game and DLC can be purchased together as a bundle, so expect a similar "complete" edition of the game to be available when Subject 2923 releases later this year.
