Capcom has revealed some of the upcoming DLC for the remake of Resident Evil 2, which is available for free to those who purchase the Collector's Edition of the game. This DLC includes the ability to use the music from the original version of Resident Evil 2, a free Samurai Edge Deluxe Weapon, and 🦂several costumes for both Claire Redfield and Leon Kennedy.
One of Claire's new costumes includes a shoutout to a Resident Evil game that was never finished, which fans now refer to as Resident Evil 1.5 or BIOHAZARD 1.5.
Claire's new costume is a pink & white biker outfit which is named after Elza Walker, who was the original female playable character in Resident Evil 2.
The game we know of as Resident Evil 2 was remade from the ground up, as the people at Capcom were dissatisfied with the quality of the ga෴me, even though it was near completion.

The story of Resident Evil 1.5 was similar t🍌o that of the final product, with Leon Kennedy and Elza Walker arriving in Raccoo✅n City after it has fallen to an undead horde and they must hide in the local Police Station, where they uncover the truth behind the creation of the zombies.
The reason why Elza Walker was scrapped was due to the fact that the developers wanted to tie the events of the game into its predecessor, which was why Elza was remade into Claire Redfield. Claire arrived in Raccoon City in order to find her brother, who was the protagonist of the first Resident Evil game.
An early version of Resident Evil 1.5 has since leaked online, so it's possible to see what Resident Evil 2 could have looked like.
The addition of the Elza Walker costume is a nice shout-out to a character that fans have been curious about for years. It's unlikely that Elza will ever be given a canon appearance in the Resident Evil series, but this costume DLC gives the fans a chance to sort-of play as her in the latest Resident Evil game.
The other new costumes included as part of the DLC are a sheriff's uniform for Leon (for those who want to pretend they are playing as Rick from The Walking Dead), a military outfit for Claire, and gangste🥃r outfits for both o🌸f them.
The remake of Resident Evil 2 will be released for the PlayStation 4ꦇ, Microsoft Windows, and the Xbox One on January 25th, 201♔9.
