The 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Resident Evil franchise is well known for having a large catalog of terrifying monsters. From the very first Resident Evil game in Arklay mansion to the most recently released Resident Evil 3 Remake, there has been no shortage of scary,🔴 undead creatures.
Speaking of the remakes, many of the horrifying monsters from the original games have been totally redesigned for the new remakes of Resident Evil 2 and 3. In the case of Resident Evil 2 Remake, some of these changes were good, while others weren't quite as scary as the originals. Here are five Resident Evil 2 enemies that were scarie♕r in the PS1 game, and five ꦗthat are better in the remake.
10 PS1🌃: Alligator 𝔍
The alligator's attack of Leon in the very first Resident Evil 2 is one of the 🤪most iconic moments of the series. There are few monsters that are mo🌳re terrifying to come up against than gigantic alligators.
Unfortunately, the remake doesn't quite captu🧸re what made the original gator work. It was too overcomplicated in its design. Sometimes, siℱmpler is better.
9 🔯 ꧟ Remake: Zombies
The zombies themselves are the staple monster of the Resident Evil series. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:RE2 Remake knew this and the creatꦗors took special care to make sure that they were especially terrifying for the reimagining of one of the franchise's greatest games.
Tꦓhe higher-def zombies of the 2019 remake far surpass the original blocky, pixelated zombies that l🦄ittered the original game.
8 PS1: Sewe𓂃r Monster
The sewer monsters in the remake were sure as hell scary, but in the original game,🍨 they were actually scarier. In the original, you could actually make out their horrifying, screaming faces.
In the remake, while these monsters are still vღery scary, they aren't quite as terrible. Mostly, this is due to the fact that it is hard to make out their facial expressions. Those uncanny faces are what made the original monsters so creepy.
7 🐷 Remake: G-Mutan🧸t
After infecting himself with the Golgotha Virus, W💮illiam Birkin became the origin of Racoon City's downfall. The hulking, disfiguredಌ monstrosity that he became was truly a horrible sight to behold.
By showcasing modern-day graphics, the remake of Resident Evil 2 was able to take the character﷽ and bring him much closer to realism. He's scary because he looks so much more real than the original.
6 𒐪 PS1: Plant 43 🌄
In the remake of the Resident🉐 Evil sequel, the Plant 43 experiments simply looked like zombies covere🃏d in vines. The original game gave them a much more haunting appearance.
In the remake, these plant zombies simply look like normal zombies converted in vines. In th༺e original, their proportions were distorted and not nearly as human-like, giving the creatures a much more uncanny feel.
5 🌜 𓂃 Remake: Dogs
Few enemies in the early games are more of a pain💎 than the Cerberus Dogs. In the original game, however, they weren't very terrifying. They just looked like dogs.
In the remake, fans get to s♔ee them in much more fine detail. Up close and personal, w🔯ith all of their disfiguring scars, these dogs are much scarier.
4 ꦑ 🐭 PS1: G-Mutant (Final Form)
Over the course of both the original game and the remake, William Birkin, also known as the G-Mutant, evolves to become more and more powerful. By the end o𒈔f the game, he reaches a final, terrifying form.
Crawling on all fours, this original final form from the first RE2 is much crazier than the final form in the remake. T🧜his makes for a much more terrifying opponent.
3 ꦆ Remake: L💖ickers
Lickers serve as one of the de൩adlies🌃t enemy types in the game. In the original, it was horrifying to watch one run after you. In the remake, it's even worse.
Every fine detail of these creatures' slimy skin and sharp claws adds to their overall creep factor. When they scurry towards you down the long, dark hallways of Resident Evil 2 Remake, it's hard not to jump.
2 ♉ PS1: Marvin Branagh Zombie
Marvin Branagh is one of the best improvements from the original game. The new voice actor and performance help create a much more fascinating character for Claire and Leon to interact with. As a monster, howeve💎r, he was much more terrifying in ꦺthe original game.
While in the original you simply find Marvin after he had transformed, in the original you watch his turn happen in real-time. As the above pictures show, it's a horribly t🅷errifying sight to behold.
1 ♛ Remake: Mr. X ജ
Mr. X, a Tyrant created by Umbrella to murder any witnesses to the outbreak, is now known as one of the greatest enemies in the Resident Evil franchise. RE2 Remake helped cem꧋ent his legacy by giving u🐻s an extra horrifying, unkillable monster to run away from.
His new design and hauntingly emotionless face make this new Mr. X one of the scariest villains of the entire Resident Evil franchise. He's definitely the last monster you want to be cornered by in Resident Evil 2.
