Despite being a survival horror game with its roots planted firmly into the B-movie schlock horror genre, the series has always been surprisingly dense in lore and world-building. From the files and notes scattered arounꦐd mansions and former museums-turned police stations, there’s never a shortage of history and backstory to learn about the series and its characters.
As the series has grown over the years the lore has become deeper and the remakes for and have given Capcom another great opportunity to retell classic stories while also connecting the dots between old and new games in the franchise. With Resident Evil 3’s story so intertwined with its predecessor while🦂 staying faithful to the original game there are lots of allusions and references for fans to spot.
10 ꦫ The Live-Action Intro
The live-action cutscenes in Resident Evil 3’s introduction serve as a great way to get the game going. The clips and newsreels help give it that B-move horror aesthetic which harkens back to horror classics like that the series takes inspiration from.
What some of the newer players may not realize that this is the first time that series has used live actors in its cutscenes since the very first Resident Evil in 1996. T�✱�hese scenes really help give this brand new remake a taste of old and new.
9 💜 Dario Rosso’s Safe Room
During the early stages of the Resident Evil 3 rema♎ke, players will get to meet a character that was also in the original game called Dario Rosso. Rosso is a character that locks himself inside of a container to keep himself safe.
However, unlike the original version, the container is no longer the first safe room that the player will encounter. It’s also interesting to note that players can initiate some more💖 dialogue with Rosso perfectly emulating the original 199🍌9 version.
8 🥀 Kendo Gets The Drop On Jill
Once again players can pay a visit to Kendo’s Gun Shop as they did in Resident Evil 2. Just as Kendo go🌜t the drop on Leon in the second entry he gets the drop on 🙈Jill in the exact same way.
It’s also interesting to note that because many of the events in Resident Evil run concurrently with its predecessor players get to listen to Kendo’s🌜 conversation with his daughter from be🦩hind the door.
7 🐠 Nemesis’ Loot D🦹rop
In another well-designed recreation of the original Resident Evil 3, the remake also gives⛦ players the choice of a fight or flight scenario during an encounter with the Nemesisꦬ. Players could either run for their lives or stand and fight.
Those who chose to fight and ꦿwere lucky enough win were rewarded with a nice loot drop.🤡 The remake puts its own spin on the scene. But once again, players who managed to defeat the monster will be rewarded with a loot crate filled with upgrades.
6 Leon’s Welcoming🌸 Party🍎
One of the best areas in Resident Evil 3 (despite being able to explore parts of an incredibly detailed Racoon City) is when players get the chance to revisit the police station from Resident Evil 2 in the shoes of the co-antagonist Carlos.
Those that played the second game should remember party banners that were prepared for Leon’s first day as a police officer in the Racoon City police department. Upon spotting it in the west office, Carlos remarks “Yeah, welcome Leon.”
5 The Locker Codes Are The Same ♑
In a particularly fantastic allusion to the Resident Evil 2 remake that players should notice in this recent entry, all lockers and codes have remained unchanged. I𒀰t’s hard not to be 𝔉impressed with Capcom’s dedication to the continuity between the two titles.
Although players will have to suspend their disbelief to some degr▨ee, as one has to wonder who would have the time𒀰 or the need to restock the lockers and reset the padlocks in the first place.
4 🍷 Dodge And Parry
In the Resident Evil 3 remake, both Jill and Carlos have their own personal dodge and parry moves which were a feature that players could use with some good timing in the original game. While Jill has the dodge move to give heꦡr some better distance from enemies, Carlos has the super punch.
Not only is Carlos's move fun to pull off, but it also echoes Chris Redfield’s super haymaker punch from Resident Evil 5. To pull these moves off, players need to press RB and pull the thumbstick right at the moment of an enemy’s attack. Time will then slow down allowing 𒆙players to fire their gun for a well-placed shot.
3 ๊ The Impaled Cop♉
In another awesome allusion to its predecessor, the Resident Evil 2 remake players wil🅘l get to see the very same Racoon City police officer that was left impaled by his jaw in🃏 the west hallway of the station.
Players of the second game will also be treated to the events that lead to the deaths of certain officers found dead in the very s🌺ame hallway. It’s just another fantastic example of how much attention to detail Capcom put into the series♔’ continuity.
2 Jill’s Classic Look 🐠
Arguably, Jill’s most iconic and recognizable look in the Resident Evil series is the one where she wears the S.T.A.R.S uniform and beret from the first game. Jill’s new look for the Resident Evil 3 remake is by far her most realistic to date and will likely be just as mem🎉orable for fans.
However, players can combine t𒀰he old with the new by unlocking Jill’s iconic uniformed look. To do this, players need to complete the game on the standard difficulty or higher.
1 ꦓ 💦 The Code Veronica Reference
What may be one of the most interesting references to one of the older games comes in the form of a cargo shipping file. These notes not only reference the Nemesis’ origins but they also allude to the classic 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Resident Evil: Code Veronica too.
