How To Reach The Waste Treatment Plant
When the cutscene ends, grab everything you can from the room while Leon is talking to Ada. Be sure to get the Crystal Ore in the corner and the Black Bass in the cabinet behind the cot. Leave the room and boost Ashley through the gap in the wall to the left. She'll unbar the door, letting you move on to the next area.
Read the Merchant Request on the right, enter the Merchant's Hideout. You can sell the Crystal Ore, Wrench and Keycard for spare cash a💜nd take the elevator to the Shooting Gallery to try for some new Charms.
Leave through the doors to the left of the Merchant, and shoot as many crows as you can on the other side before they fly off to get some cash. Climb the stairs and jump off the ledge to the left. Two Ganados will attack fro൲m the corridor; the one in fronꦏt spawns a Plaga when killed.
Follow the corridor that the Ganados came from and loop around counterclockwise. A third enemy is waiting at the bottom of the stairs; deal with him and climb up. At the top, take the Green Herb on the right then enter the building.
You'll be attacked by a gang of Ganados at the end of the hall. They have shields, and two of them will spawn Plagas, so hold your ground at the entrance and make good use of any grenades that you have on hand. When the room is clear, go up the stairs to the right. Enter the office at the end of the hall, take the supplies from the desk, and have Ashley hold the lever on the left-hand wall.
Go back downstairs to go through the door that opens. You can also shoot the cask on the ceiling for a Velvet Blue. On the other side of the door, turn left and unlatch the door leading ba🌞ck to the main room.
A new group of Ganados will arrive, beating you to Ashley's location; get to her as quickly as possible to rescue her, then eliminate any remaining Ganados.
Return to the side hallway through the door that you unlatched and take the stairs. More Ganados and Plagas will block your path; when you reach the top, go right and enter the door you find.
Loot the barrel at the far end of the room then hop into the water on the left. Crouch through the small passage on the right and pick up the Emerald in the left corner before climbing out of the sewage. Use the switches by the door; Leon and Ashley need to both pull their respective switches while the indicator above ᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ🌺ᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚthe door is in the red zone.
How To Defeat The Iron Maiden
Go through the door and have Ashley hide in the locker ahead of you. Pick up the rifle ammo next to the locker and equip your rifle with the Biosensor Scope if it's not already there. As you go down the next hall, a Regenerador will emerge from the right. When you destroy all of its parasites, it will transform into an Iron Maiden with a final parasite in its head. Its movements are too erratic to line up a good shot with the scope, so try shooting into its mouth with the shotgun to destroy the final parasite.
The Iron Maiden will spasm before it finally dies; get as far away from it as you can, as it will explode in a damaging burst of spikes.
With the Regenerador dead, call Ashley out from hiding and open the next door, using the same method as before. The red zone is smaller, so you'll need to be more precise with your input. Follow the corridor beyond and have Ashley turn the wheel at the end to raise a bridge. Go across and turn left. Stay to the right side of the corridor to find some crates with ammo, and follow the path until you find a power switch.
Look through the bars to the left - two Ganados will appear and attack Ashley. At the same time, a Regenerador will spawn on the pile of trash behind you. Equip your rifle with the Biosensor Scope and you can shoot out some parasites before the Regenerador starts moving.
Kill the Regenerador as quickly as you can - it will evolve into an Iron Maiden, so watch out - while shooting the Ganados through the bars to defend Ashley. If she's captured, pull back toward the switch and shoot the abduc🗹ting Ganado as he makes a run for the exit.
When the Regenerador is dead, run back to the bridge and take out any Ganados nearℱ Ashley so that she can raise the bridge for you, then go to the powered-up panel behind her. Calibrate the power and go through the door to kee🍎p moving. The correct sequence is:
Circuit Number |
Number of Times to Rotate |

Once you're through the door, kill the two free-roaming Plagas blocking the hallway and go 🦂through the door to find the Merchant.
Optional Objective: Even More Pest Control
Killing all the rats in the Waste Control area will fulfill a Merchant Request. The first rat is just past the door after defeating the first Regenerador. The second is immediately on the other side of the bridge that Ashley raises. The third and fourth are both near the power switch, where you fight the second Regenerador.
How To Defend The Wrecking Ball
Once you're done at the Merchant's, jump down into the construction area ahead. Examine the wall with the crack in it, and Ashley will use the nearby equipment to smash it. While she's working, you need to defend the machine from the oncoming Ganados.
Explore the area before interacting with the wrecking ball for extra items. There's a Flash Grenade hidden among the equipment next to the vehicle that's especially useful in the upcoming fight!
Start by moving to the other side of the vehicle - that's where the door is, so the Ganados will attempt to break in through there. A single shot is all it takes to get them to fall off, so focus on fighting until you hear Ashley scream, them shoot whoever is on the machine. A shotgun blast right at the start of the fight can knock down the three Ganados in front of you, giving you time to run through the open shipping container to your lᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ💧ᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚeft.
Two Brutes will appear throughout the first phase of the fight. Once they're gone, you'll have to contend with a rocket launcher and a swarm of Plag🐠as, plus the mob of Ganados. Use the Flash Grenade to kill the Plagas as soon as they appear - this will keep themಌ from making the Ganados go berserk.
When Ashley breaks through the wall, mop up the remaining enemies and proceed through the opening. Look on a crate to the left to find a Merchant Request to eliminate a "strange corpse" in the Incubation Lab. You can make your way back by unlatching the gate to the side, or ignore the side quest and activate the lift.
The Wandering Dead (Optional)
The gate takes you back to the Merchant's Hideout, so be sure to gear up before going after this mini-boss. When you're ready, return to Ashley's holding cell and retrace your path back to the Incubation Lab where you got the Biosensor Scope. There's a locker along the way - have Ashley wait inside so that you can fight without putting her in danger.
The Regenerador in the lab has already transformed, so expect it to hit you with lots of rapid needle bursts. Having your armor and knife at full durability going in is essential to deflect damage and escape grabs. Equip the Biosensor Scope on your rifle and take out as many parasites as you can through the window before closing to engage. This Regenerador has many more parasites than the others, so take careful aim! When you're done, collect your reward from the Merchant and return to the lift.
How To Pursue Saddler
At the top of the lift, enter the door on the right. Smash the barrels behind the machine in front of you, then climb through the window to your left. Loot the room, then exit through the rear doors. You'll find yourself in a warehouse full of amber extracted from below the castle. Follow the path and examine the large stone in the corner to trigger a cutscene. Afterward, take the Yellow Herb from the shelf to the left and look behind the shelf for a Crystal Ore, then follow Saddler through the double do𒊎ors.
When you come to a fork in the road, look to the right. You can easily snipe the Ganado at the end of the tunnel without alerting the others, then use his vantage point to pick off the others. The left-hand path leads to the ground level if you prefer a more straight-up fight, but it's worth taking the right-hand path for the supplies and Clockwork Castellan that you can find there.
Loot the campsite, being sure to check both inside and behind the tent, and continue along the trail. Examine the documents in the command tent, then follow the blood trail out the back. Loot the barrels on the right, then walk through the arch and save at the typewriter. The Merch༒ant is also available for laꦅst-minute repairs. Proceed along the path until a cutscene triggers to begin the boss fight against Krauser.
How To Defeat Jack Krauser
Start the fight by waiting for Krauser to empty his clip, then running to the left while he's reloading. Crouch behind each pillar in succession to avoid Krauser's fire, then duck into the ruins at the end of the path.
Crouch behind the wall to avoid another shot from Krauser, then enter the hallway at the rear of the room. At the top of the ramp, Krauser will rush you for a melee attack. Fight him like you did before, using knife parries and dodges to avoid his attacks while slashing at him while he's open. He's faster this time, so be ready!
When Krauser jumps onto the rooftop above, he's preparing an explosive round - get behind the pillar against the wall to avoid it!
Keep fighting until Krauser uses a Flash Grenade to retreat, then turn the wheel to open the door in the room below. Use caution as you round the corner, since Krauser has set up mines inside the ruins. Shoot them or crouch under their lasers as ♍needed.
At the bottom of the stairs, there's a crate with supplies - take them, then immediately turn around as Krauser is waiting to ambush you. He'll grab you if he catches you, but you can halt his charge by shooting him if you're fast. After he retreats, detonate the mine blocking your path and continue.
If you ignore the crate, Krauser attacks when you leave the room instead. Unlike his attack at the crate, this grab can't be avoided.
Rounding the next corner, stay behind the wall until Krauser fires an explosive round. Afterward, stay to the extreme right side of the hall to avoid the bear trap in the shadows, then carefully shoot around the next corner to the left to detonate the mine.
The two hallways to the left are each covered by turrets on the ceiling. The only way through is to shoot them before they start firing. There are more bear traps on the ground to avoid as well. First, use the left-hand hallway to get a firing angl𓆉e on the mine blocking the right side, then go down the other hallway to proceed.
Move very slowly down the curving hallway. This will give you time to react to the turret, bear trap, and Krauser's shot at the very end of the passage. If you move too fast, you'll walk into all three traps.
Climb the stairs and take the Red Herb on the ledge ahead. There's also a crate behind you and to the left that you'll only notice if you turn around. Once you've collected everything, continue forward and run up the stairs to stay ahead of another shot from Krauser.
At the top, immediately duck behind the nearest stone. After Krauser fires, shoot the mine on the right then duck back down. Wait for him to fire again,🌱 then run forward.
There are two sections of wall ahead - avoid the left one, as there's a bear trap in front of it. When Krauser fires, run straight ahead and duck behind the next wall. There's a Green Herb there that you can mix with the Red Herb you picked up in the previous room.
Keep to the right as you approach the stairs to keep Krauser from getting another shot. When you reach the bottom step, he'll toss some grenades your way and then retreat. Shoot the mine on the right and follow him.
You don't have time to deal with the mine on the left in the next room, as Krauser will open fire as soon as you enter. Get behind the pillar on the left then return fire until he jumps down. If you're quick, you can shoot out the mine before Krauser engages, sa𝔍ving yourself from having to worry about it during the fight.
Battle Krauser with knives again until a cutscene triggers. In the new area afterward, follow the corridor until Krauser appears and parry his lighting-fast melee attack. When he retreats, keep moving and get the Yellow and Green Herbs along the path. Shortly afterward, Krauser will attack from above - hit the timed Evade input to avoid damage.
Loot the barrels on the left after Krauser's attack, then climb the ladder to the final showdown. Evade Krauser again as the cutscene ends then hit him with everything you've got. You'll still need to use parries and dodges to keep your Health from draining too quickly, but now you can use your full arsenal without having to rely on knives.
There are a few crates on the side of the arena that you can use for emergency resupplies - just keeꦏp an eye on Krauser while you make your way to them!
When Krauser leaps to the top of the ruins, move to the edges. The closer you are to the center when he lands, the more damage you'll take. Once he's back on the ground, get away from the edge to keep him from pushing you over. Once Krauser has taken sufficient damage in his final form the fight will end, and you'll get his Fighting Knife, an exceptional melee weapon.
Loot the remaining crates in the area, then cross the drawbridge to finish the chapter.
