How To Recover Your Gear

When the chapter begins, all your items and weapons are gone. Leave the room through the only available exit and smash the crate to the left in the hallway for a Green Herb. Open the door at the end of the hall and follow the gantry to the next room.

When you see a body slumped against the wall, search it to get a kitchen knife that you can use to defend yourself.

Proceed up the stairs and through the door at the top. Sneak up on the Ganado to the left and kill him befꦫo🍌re he notices you, then go through the door he was guarding.

In the next room, there's a Ganado to the right; you can't sneak up on him, so parry his attack to stagger him then finish him off with a melee followup. Optionally, you can kill the two rats scurrying around the room as part of the &qu🌟ot;Pest Control" Challenge.

Before you leave this area, look in the chimney on the left side of the room. Inside is a valuable Sapphire!

Jumpജ through the windows behind the Ganado to reach a new hallway; the third rat for the Chaꦯllenge is here, as is another Ganado with a pitchfork.

At the end of the hall, you'll find a room with a locked gate and a crank wheel. Turn the wheel fully to open a door back in the room where you fought the second Ganado. The door will slowly close after you let go of the wheel, so run while retracing your steps to get into the room beyond. The easiest route is to jump through the hole in the rubble in the hallway.

There's a bear trap directly in front of the door - disarm it before you attempt to enter, or you'll miss your opportunity to clear the door before it closes.

Once you're past the door, check the table on the left to recover your gear. Anything you've picked up between the start of the chapter and now will be put on the table in its place; take everything that you have room for. From this side, you can unbar the door back🉐 to the wheel r𓂃oom.

How To Get The Hexagonal Emblem

leon kennedy approaches the entrance to the valley in resident evil 4 remake

Approach the gate, and you'll encounter the Merchant for the first time. He'll unlock the gate for you and invite you to browse his wares. It's recommended that you repair your combat knife and upgrade your carrying capacity as your first purchase; after that, weapon upgrades and trading in Spinels for rare items is the way to go. If you have money left over, buy the SR M1903 Rifle and the Merchant will throw in a Scope for free!

The door to the left can't be opened yet, so follow the path toward the rickety towers. A single Ganada stands between you and the next area; with your gear recovered, she shouldn't be a problem.

Climb the ladder at the end of the path. If you purchased the Rifle and Scope, you can easily pick off several Ganados from here before descending into the valley. There are a lot more hiding out of sight that will attack once your position is given away, but taking out the visible enemies will make the ensuing fight m🏅uch easier.

Lots of the enemies here use bombs - listen for the sound of lit fuses and watch for the red indicator on the screen when an explosive is near. Keep moving and avoid red barrels to prevent yourself from getting blown up.

Enemies near the edge of a drop will fall to their deaths if they're staggered - watch for opportunities to get quick kills!

When you first drop down, immediately climb through the window of the building to your left. Inside is a Yellow Herb and a First Aid Spray; collect both, then shoot the padlock on the door to escaꦇpe before the Ganados cli𓃲mb through the window after you.

When the coast is clear, run across to the building at the bottom of the valley. Climbing through the open window on the right will give you an opportunity to stealthily kill the Ganado inside, then climb up to the roof where you can collect the Hexagonal Emblem that opens the gate near the Merchant.

The Ganados have a fortified position on the ridge to the left. Fighting your way through it will yield a treasure chest containing a Ruby. You'll also find the wheel that opens the gate back to the Merchant's area. Turn the wheel then make your escape by returning to the start point - the Ganados will just keep coming until you do so. Beware, when you open the gate the villagers will destroy the central bridge, taking away a possible escape route!

Use the shotgun to ♓quickly blast through groups of enemies blocking your pa💧th.

Save your game at the typewriter and top up with goods from the Merchant, then examine the gate across from his table. The Hexagonal Emblem fits in the slot to the left, but you need to rotate it first. Turn the Emblem so that the bird is right-side up and facing to the right - essentially the mirror image of the bird in the slot. Then, flip the Emblem so that the bird icon is facing away 🌜from you and place it in the slot. If this is done correctly, the Emblem will turn into a handle that opens the gate.

How To Reach The Village Chief's House

leon kennedy finds an altar covered in human bones in resident evil 4 remake

When you pass through the gate, you'll see a crouching Ganado with his back turned to you on the left. If you're fast, you can run up behind him and eliminate him before he turns around. He has a buddy behind the rubble to his left, though, so don't let your guard down! A third enemy will attack from the path ahead when she hears fighting.

Once all three Ganados are defeated, crawl through the hole in the rubble to the left. On the other side you'll find cash, resources, and a chest containing a Sapphire.

Return to the main path, taking care to avoid the bear traps on the ground in the narrow passage leading to the stairs. At the top of the stairs is a flock of crows - shoot as many as you can befo🎃re they fly🐻 away to get some extra cash and items, then proceed.

Check the shack to the left, where you'll find a note saying to destroy the Wind-Up Dolls. The first one is right behind you after reading the note, to the left of the door. Listen to the telltale clockwork sound it makes before destroying it - knowing what these collect🍰ibles sound like will make it much easier to find them!

There's an altar in the yard - look for a ring of stones and candles directly in front of it. Above the ring is 🌞a cask, which drops a Sapphire when shot.

Before the first set of stone steps, take a look at the well on the left. Shoot the support beam holding the cover open, then shoot the cask above💛 to get a Pearl Pendant. Shooting the cask before destroying the support will cau𒉰se the pendant to fall in the slimy water, hurting its sale value.

Right around this point, you might hear an approaching enemy - Doctor Salvador, the chainsaw man, is back for another round! You're much better equipped to take him now, but he won't go down easily.

Slip past Salvador as he runs down the stairs toward you; if it's absolutely necessary you can parry his chainsaw attack, but this eats up almost half of your knife's Durability. Run up the stairs and duck under the tripwire at the top. Salvador will chase you right through it, but even the explosion won't stop him for long.

While Salvador is getting up, kill any nearby Ganados so that they don't interfere with the fight. Stagger Salvador with shotgun blasts until you can hit him with a melee follow-up; when he's on the ground, a few slashes from your knife should be enough to finish him off. He even drops an Emerald!

If you're short of ammo or don't think you can take Salvador, keep running after he triggers the bomb. The path ahead is littered with bear traps, which should be enough to𝔍 slow him down while you slip in the back𒁃 door of the church.

How To Get The Insignia Key

the solution to the combination lock in the village chief's house in resident evil 4 remake

The house door is locked - of course - so take the path around the left side of the building, watching out for bear traps as you do so. Go through the back door, and you'll see a door on your left; there's a Ganado inside, but you can quickly kill him before he has a chance to ambush you. There's also a drawer at the end of the hall containing a Ruby.

Go upstairs and take the Red Herb on the table. You can also save at the typewriter and read some of the cult's teachings - pay attention to the sacrifices demanded of the followers. The door at the end of the hall is locked, so head back downstairs and go into the dining room. Search the corner for a Small Key. The oven in the kitchen contains an egg, and you can find a Hand Grenade and some cash in the side hallway. There's also a combination lock on a fancy cabinet.

The icons on the lock corresponds to the sacrifices listed in the Los Illuminados text upstairs; a crop, a pig, and a baby. Set the wheels accordingly and press the button on the right to open the cabinet. You'll receive a Crystal Marble that opens the door upstairs.

As you leave the hallway, you'll hear a clicking sound - the Ganado that you killed when you entered the building has resurrected. Finish him off for good, then go back upstairs.

Insert the Crystal Marble into the socket on the door to the master bedroom. Rotate it approximately 180 degrees so that the speckles inside line up with the symbol of the Los Il♕luminados Cu♓lt, and the door will open.

Inside, read the diary on the left then open the drawer by the window. Take the Insignia Key inside to trigger a cutscene and finish t🐬he cᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚhapter.
