168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Resident Evil 4 continues to look incredible, and perhaps a more faithful remake than I was expecting given the most recent trailer. Sections from the castle, island, village, mines, and goodness knows where else are reimagined in the updated engine with fresh renditions of beloved characters and some kickass gunplay. After the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:disappointment of RE3, it appears Capcom is back𝕴 on form with a stunning remake that understands
the legacy it’s toying with.
Removal of quick time events and new additions aside, I can’t help but notice 🎀the bumper amount of Luis Sera seen across this new glimpse at the survival horror blockbuster. The man meets up with Leon in the early hours of the or♑iginal, vanishing as the two go about their own business before the handsome Spaniard is murdered at the hands of a mighty pissed Salazar armed with a grotesque scorpion tail. Pour one out for the suave legend.
Despite this, he is everywhere in this trailer, almost sharing equal screen time with Leon and Ashley as the three of them work together🅠 to take down Ganados and thwart Salazar’s plans. His presence alone isn’t the surprising part, but instead, where he appears when compared to the original game. My memory is a little cloudy, although I remember Luis teaming up with Leon only as they defend the rain-drenched village frꦓom a horde of encroaching infected, and after that, they go their separate ways with the suspicious local riding the line between uneasy ally and double-crossing villain who might be luring our heroes into a trap. It isn’t until he dies at the hands of Salazar that we uncover his initial motive, and that he decided to do the right thing.
Instead of operating in the shadows as a vague supporting character, this time around we can see Luis accompanyi🐬ng Leon through the mines, within the castle, and perhaps further still if more secrets are still being kept from us. Given where the minecart chase takes place in the original, Capcom has almost definitely shifted parts of the campaign around or added additional parts in order to flesh out Luis’ character. The developer has already hinted at the idea of Hunnigan and the pilot who helps you out on the island receiving greater depth as part of the remake, and that intention extends e⛄ven more so to Luis. His demise is almost guaranteed, so why not pull at our heartstrings by giving him a personality that extends far beyond cool clothes and a sexy accent? He’s a fan favourite, evident by our reaction to him from the new trailer, and now Capcom has an opportunity to make him into a series’ legend.
Resident Evil 4 is a long game, significantly more so than any other in the series, and a remake will need to remain faithful to that or expand꧙ on it in order to do everything justice. Ada and Wesker have already been glimpsed in footage and casting documents, meaning stories once restrained to optional campaigns that first debuted in the PS2 port are set to be folded into the main campaign, which could lead to multiple playable characters, narrative changes, and a new direction for the series Capcom might build on going forward. It feels silly to draw this kind of conclusion from Luis Sera, but hisꦫ heightened agency is more than likely a common element seen throughout the entire cast. Turn these goofballs into dorks we care about, even more so if you’re planning to kill them off or explore them like never before.
It is more of a bombastic first-person ✃shooter than a tense survival horror anyway, so I’ve no complaints with supporting characters joining me as temporary allies against harder bosses, so long as I’m left alone to tackle the initial village section and island regenerators. A delicate balance still needs to be met either way, or it risks truncating too much of the game we fell in love with decades ago and becoming a lame facsimile like the third remake. Capcom seems to be learning all the right lessons though, and here’s hoping Luis is only the beginning.
