remake's ending has some pretty clear hints towards a remake of , including a brief look at Excella Gionne and a garden where Chris and Sheva discover the source of the Progenitor Virus.
Considering how successful each of Capcom's remakes have been (well, ignoring some of the problems with ), continuing on to remake the rest of the series after Resident Evil 4 seems like a no-brainer, pardon the pun. Although a remake of Resident Evil 5 has yet to be confirmed, Resident Evil 4 remake's ending has some pretty clear hints that it's eventually going to happen. Spoilers for Resident Evil 4's remake ahead.
The final cutscene of the game shows Ada Wong flying away in a helicopter while talking to series big bad Albert Wesker, who she decides not to deliver a vial containing the Plagas amber. Wesker's appearance is enough of a hint at Resident Evil 5 eventually getting a remake considering he's the big bad there, but it's what he's looking at on his screen that is the biggest hint of all.
, Wesker's screen contains a number of clear references to the events of Resident Evil 5. Most obvious of them all can be seen in the centre of the screen, which is clearly showing the Underground Garden from the fifth chapter of the game, which is where the Progenitor Virus originated.
The second hint towards Resident Evil 5 getting a remake is Excella Gionne, a businesswoman who teams up with Wesker during the events of Resident Evil 5 and can be seen on the top left of the screen. It's a little blurry, but it's easy to make out her tall hairstyle.
These two things combined make it clear that Wesker is planning for the events of Resident Evil 5, which is fitting considering Ada is about to close the book on the Plagas virus in that very same scene. All of this seems to be a clear hint that Capcom is at least teeing up for a remake of Resident Evil 5, even if it's not currently developing it.
