Certain lines of dialogue and scenes in which you could see up Ashley's skirt have been edited or removed from Resident Evil 4 VR.
Resident Evil 4 VR comes to Oculus today, giving fans of the game yet another way to experience it in all of its undead glory. Its launch means Resident Evil ⛦🤡4 has now been re-released more times than Skyrim, but it's a record it won't be holding onto for very long. Skyrim will take the crown back when its anniversary edition arrives later this year.
Capcom, Armature, and Facebook, since the game will now be on Oculus, have worked closely together to turn Resident Evil 4 into an immersive VR experience. That includes removing content from the game that hasn't aged very well. The edits were noted after footage of the VR game leaked earlier this month, and have now been confirmed by .
Most of the changes are in relation to Ashley, the president's daughter you are tasked with saving. The dialogue removed includes a moment in which Luis compliments her body. Areas of the game that allowed players to look up Ashley's skirt have also been either edited or removed. A scene towards the end of the game where Ashley asks to go back to Leon's for some overtime has also been edited out, as has the shot of Ashley's underwear as she hops onto a jetski, reports .
Whether you have played Resident Evil 4 in the past or not, it's fairly obvious that none of the above being removed from the game is going to take away from the experience. Believe it or not, the ability to look up a woman's skirt isn't integral to the plot of a game about killing zombies. Plus, if you feel that strongly about the edits, go play one of the countless other versions of the game.
This isn't the first time this year that a re-release of a game has removed seriously outdated shots that should probably have never been included in the first place. Mass Effect: Legendary Edition doesn't include the close-ups of Miranda's behind that made it into the original games. However, in a curious turn of events, the modder who remo🅠ved them from ꧋the originals reinstated them in the remastered games.
