The average lets players upgrade their equipment, but💖 really only in moderation. Resident Evil 1 and 2 were fairly simple in this respect, whereas🍰 introduces a crafting system to augment weapons. It wouldn’t be until where players could finally indulge in some focused progression. Not only can Leon upgrade his guns in RE4, he can also increase his max health – a trait that shares.
Despite lifting most heavily from the original Resident Evil on , Resident Evil 7 is still a modern game with modern concessions. And a fairly challenging out at that. is as tense as it is overwhelming, and most first time players never even make it out of the Bakerꦆ estate due to the game’s aggression. Fortunately, Steroids go a lonꦡg way in this regard.
Only four total in , Steroids increase Ethan’s max health and are a must have for players – especially those struggling to get through the game alive. Along with raising Ethan’s max health, Steroids also serve as a full heal in pl𒊎ace of Strong First Aid Med, giving them a strat𝓰egic use in the hands of savvy players.
Main House Steroids
Ethan’s first helping of Steroids can be found relatively early in Resident Evil 7, although there are some actual ste𝔍ps to getting it. The first set of Steroids is connected to the Treasure Photo questline in-game, where Ethan picks up photos and then tracks down their location to find treasure. There are three to find, with the first down in the Processing Area’s Meat Storage.
Once Ethan’s obtained the photo, head back up to the Main House and go to the Drawing Room. You can now examine the fireplace 🃏to remove a trick rock hiding some Steroids underneath. Unless Ethan’s at full health, take the Steroids for a health boost. Otherwise, wait until taking some damage to make the most of the item’s healing properties.
Birdcage Steroids
The average Resident Evil game typically features costumes for players to unlock along with extra items, incentivizing more 🦂playthroughs. Resident Eviꦬl 7 ditches costumes (on account of being first person) and instead indulges in a denser main story with more to do. The Antique Coin questline allows Ethan to get his hands on a Stabilizer, the Magnum, and even some Steroids.
Antique Coins can be used inside of Zoe’s Trailer outside of the Main House to unlock birdcage. The first birdcage actually contains Steroids and only requires 3 Antique Coins to ope🍬n. There are a total of 9 players can find up to this point, so ideally Ethan should have more than ꦗenough on hand to purchase some Steroids.
Testing Area Steroids
Ethan can’t find his third serving of Steroids until after finding the Red and Blue Keycards for Lucas. Once done, players can unlock access into the Testing Area – where Lucas will taunt them through a game of life and death he’s designed for Ethan. After failing to input th🌳e password in the Testing Area (a scripted sequence), a pathway will open on the first floor that players can go through.
Take out the Quick Molded in the Wooden Corridor and head into the Fertilizer Room to find an Antique Coin and some Steroids inside of a locker. It helps to bring the Burner with 🥂you to destroy any rigged crates from afar. There’s one inside of the room and breaking it up close is a di꧅saster waiting to happen – or perhaps an opportunity to use some Steroids.
Salt Mine Steroids
The final set of Steroids are found in Resident Evil 7’s final area: the Salt Mines. Thankfully, they’re found in a relatively safe area right by the second to last Safe Room. Ethan’s fourth injection of Steroids is waiting for him in the ꦬCultivation Room.
Simply look underneath the bathꦇtub to find the Steroids ready to be picked up. Once injected, Ethan will be at max health and ready for the final boss. There’s still a horde of Molde𒁃d to get through, though, so it’s smart to actually save the Steroids until at the last Safe Room (or for on the fly healing deeper into the Salt Mines).
