Nowhere is this more true than in the final bosses of each game. The culmination of eight hours of terror and/or boulder punching, Resident Evil's final bosses have a reputation for their grotesque spectacle. From the subtle horrors of the Spencer Mansion to a fistfight in an active volcano, here are the best bosses in the Resident Evil franchise.

It continues the tradition of great final Resident Evil bosses. And it has inspired us to return to our list of the best ones to add a few more. As the remake Saddler fight is a bit different than the original, it is eligible to be added as a separate entry. But does it make the cut?
14 𝓡 ꦿ Tyrant T-002 - Resident Evil Remake
The Tyrant-class BOWs could be the most iconic Resident Evil monster ever. Unfortunately, Umbrella's first attempt at a Tyrant isn't as strong as it could be. This goes for the fight too, as it's held back by the stiff gameplay of the first Resident Evil title, and is a bit underwhelming compared to the horror of the bosses that precede it.
The Tyrant can still pack a punch if you haven't saved your resources properly, but after facing off against Lisa Trevor, Black Tiger, and the Crimson Head Prototype, you can probably deal with Tyrant with your eyes closed.
13 Derek Simmons - Resident Evil 6 (Leon's Campaign)
Derek is good simply because he's a T. Rex zombie. After a campaign that is too ridiculous to take seriously, but not quite ridiculous enough to enjoy its own absurdity, Derek Simmons pulls through and sends Resident Evil 6 over the edge. And good god is it glorious.
After eight hours of middle-of-the-road zombie killing, a fight with an actual dinosaur zombie is just what the doctor ordered. Imagine explaining this boss fight to a Resid♓ent Evil fan back in🎉 1996, then kick back and laugh as you remember that Resident Evil 6 is a game that actually exists and not just a fever dream you had once.
12 🍷 Queen Leech – Resident Evil Zero ജ
Most Resident Evil games 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:end with a self-destruct sequence, including Zero. In this one, however, you part🅰icipate in a unique boss battle while the timer ticks down. Your opponent is the Queen Leech in its true monstrous form.
It's a typical Resident Evil monster, as it's a slimy beast with too many teeth. The battle with it is interesting because its main weakness is sunlight. So much of the fight involves opening shutters to get some light on the beast.
11 🔴 Alex Weꩵsker – Resident Evil: Revelations 2
No surname in the Resident Evil series is more associated with villainy than Wesker. Albert is at fault for most of that, but Alex shows she's quite like her brother in Revelations 2. She desires self-preservation so much that she tries to take over the body of a young girl.
Thankfully, in♊ the final battle of the game, Barry Burton and Claire Redfield both stand in her way. This makes for an interesting fight where you switch control between the two characters to inflict damage on Alex, who, at this point, is a large beast crawling around o🔯n four legs.
10 Haos – Resident Evil 6 (Chris’s Campaign)ꦓ 𒊎
As Resident Evil 6 is separated into different campaigns, it has more final bosses than the other entries in the series. None of them are truly epic battles, but Haos from Chris's campaign provides an exciting multi-part skirmish.
The creature is notable because of its great size. The thing is one of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the biggest monsters in the series and takes up much of the screen in your first confrontation. In the main part of the battle, you must face him in a large room filled with cargo crates. It's just a straight-up battle against the monster, with the only gimmick being Piers' newfound powers.
9 The Ultimate Abyss - Res🅠ident Evil: Revelations
No one expected a 3DS spin-off title to have such a great final boss. Capcom included it anyway, capping off Resident Evil: Revelations with a fight against Jack Norman, The Ultimate Ab✱yss.
The fight against Jack Norman's mutated form is a unique one, moving away from the simple running and punching that Tyrant-style fights often rely on. The Ultimate Abyss' ability to teleport keeps you ever on your toes, while his second phase doubles the danger by summoning a full clone of himself. Good luck!
8 💙 Super Tyra꧋nt (Leon A) - Resident Evil Remake 2
Perhaps Resident Evil 2 Remake's greatest addition to the original is its inclusion of Mr. X, the Super Tyrant. Once an enemy hidden away for your second playthrough, Mr. X now stalks your every move through Raccoon City, regardless of what playthrough you're on.
Like an undead T-1000, Mr. X never stops chasing you. That's what makes this fight so dramatic — you're trapped. You either stop him, or you die. This final encounter on the elevator is an amazing payoff to a chase that has seeped into your soul as you've played through the game, and the feeling of finally taking the Tyrant down is unmatched.
7 🍸Osmund Saddler - Resident Evil 4
The leader of the Los Illuminados cult, Saddler is a suitably mysterious figure. After walking around doing barely anything for the majority of the game, you finally find him blocking your escape f♊rom the nightmare.
After some cheesy back and forth, the meek old man becomes a horrific spider-like creature, dangling the remains of his human form like a ragdoll fro✨m its exoske𒅌leton. After a full game of people mutating into monstrosities, this is the most horrific.
6 Osmund Saddler - R🌄esident Evil 4 Remꦿake
The Resident Evil 4 Remake changes a bunch of things, including the climatic fight. Your opponent is similar, as it's still Saddler in a mutated form that gives him extra legs. Yet, the fight is a bit different.
The battle arena is bigger, and Saddler has some allies this time. Most importantly, though, the⛄ villain is quite a bit tougher. He seems to take a lot more shots, and the battle lasts longer. This helps it feel ༒like a more epic clash and makes Saddler feel like a more formidable foe.
5 ⭕ Nemesiꦓs - Resident Evil 3 Remake
The final fight with Nemesis in Resident Evil 3 Remake is a polarizing one. It differs so heavily from its source material that many were disappointed with the monstrosity that Nemesis becomes. Don't let the naysayers get to you though — this Nemesis fight is truly spectacular.
What the doubters are missing is the real narrative juice of this incarnation of Nemesis. After being burned, exploded, shot, and finally dissolved in industrial acid, Nemesis slops into the final room of the game, clinging to life. Nemesis is the living embodiment of determination, never to relent until S.T.A.R.S is no more. In this way, Nemesis is Umbrella's quest for world domination personified, and a wonderful vehicle to represent the unending shuffle of the undead.
