168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Resident Evil is one of the oldest horror gaming franchises still currently running. Since its start in 1996, there have been dozens of titles, each with its own catalog of terrifying monsters. While there are plenty of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:excellent recurring creatures, many only appear in one game.
Despite this setback, some of these creatures are even more memorable and iconic than the likes of Hunters or Lickers. Keep in mind; remakes will not count as a separate game. Non-canon entries like Operation Raccoon City and retellings of the same story like Umbrella Chronicles wilဣl also not be a faꦚctor.
10 Regenerators ཧ
This first monster is probably the most iconic in all of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Resident Evil 4. The Regenerators are exactly what's in the name. They continuously regenerate unless you have the Infrared Scope or have a ton of firepower on you. In the remake, the knife is also a good choice to dispatch them.
They're freaky as all heck with their breathing noises and look so scary, especially in the original. Not many of them are around in either the original or remake, but that adds to their mystique. It certainly didn't stop them from leaving a lasting impression on players, and it doesn't hurt that they tend to be meme'd quite a bit.
9 Crimson Heaꦗds 🐼
The Resident Evil 1 remake was the first great video game remake on such a large scale. It blew people away when it came out, and one of the most memorable aspects about it was the Crimson Heads. When you kill a Zombie, they don't necessarily stay dead. Unless you blow its head off, kill it with flame rounds, or burn its body, it will rise up again.
However, this time it's far more deadly. These special Zombies can run, grab you quicker, and deal much higher damage. Their scare factor is high, plus it forces you to do objectives quicker so that they don't rise up in the first place. RE1 remake is a master-crafted survival horror game, and the Crimson Heads are a reason why.
8 Chimeras
Like the Regenerators, Chimeras appear very briefly in Resident Evil 1. They only appear in the end laboratory, but their design makes them a fan-favorite creature in the first in🍌stallment. With their hairy spider-like look, if these existed in real life, they would be your worst nightmare.
The surprising way they enter into rooms makes you frantically aim your shotgun real quick. It's a shame these creatures never appeared in another game, as canonically, they did exist after 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the events of the Mansion Incident. They appear in theᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚ Resident Evil Manga, The Marhawa Desire, so Capcom can use them again if they want to.
7 🐬Execution🐟er
The standout enemy of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Resident Evil 5 has to be the Executioner. While he appeared in several of the live-action RE films, in the games, he only showed up in RE5. His design is sick, with a huge axe and giant nails piercing his body. He's incredibly deadly with all of his attacks, either sending you to dying status or just straight-up killing you.
What's incredibly cool is that, just like Resident Evil 4, there's an alternate, more vicious version of the headlining monster in Mercenaries mode. The Executioner's red variant is even more awesome looking, and he's packing a giant flaming axe.
6 🌱 Zombieꦦ Elephant
Resident Evil has a wide variety of zombified animals over the years. There's infected crows, dogs, spiders, scorpions, sharks, and much more. In Resident Evil Outbreak File 2, they heightened this factor even greater in the Wild Things scenario. Taking place in the Raccoon City Zoo, you'll face Zombie Hyenas, Bills, Lions, but the best has to be the Zombie Elephant.
Named Oscar by the Zoo, this baddie is actually the pursuer enemy of the scenario. This massive elephant is the one chasing you from area to area. It's certainly wild, and his theme roars loud whenever he appears. He's one of the more memorable and fun parts of the entire game, plus there's a nice puzzle attached to defeating him.
5 Garrador
Garradors only appear in Resident Evil 4, and it's a shame because they're quite fun to fight. Since they're blind, the game incentivizes you to plan your movements accordingly to get a clear shot in on their back. You can take advantage of ringing bells, which will alert them, leading to some free hits. The moment you decide to kill them quickly and in a more action-focused manner is when the depth really opens up.
You don't need a clear shot on his back to hit him, as even when he's facing in front of you or at an angle, you can shoot toward the neck or shoulder line and still land hits. You'll definitely understand this 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:when playing Mercenaries mode. This makes him really funܫ to fight and tests your skills.
4 Novistador ▨
There are a lot of quality invisible and camouflaged enemies in video games, and one of them's the Novistadors from Resident Evil 4. Both versions are good, but especially the remake. The original game's Novistadors are a deadly enemy but are the more old-school type of invisible. They have a noticeable haze around them that makes them easy to distinguish if you're paying attention.
The remake, though, cranks it up to 11. They now camouflage themselves into the environment, and it's so effective you'll often bump into them unknowingly early on. You must learn to pay attention to the environment and watch out for these bad boys, as you can easily glaze right over them.
3 U3
U3 is the only boss fight not to return in the RE4 remake, and it's unfortunate as it was one of the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:best bosses in the original. Chapter 5-3 in the classic game was like a bos🎃s fight gauntlet. At the very end, you fought Krauser, but ไjust before, you fought U3 in two phases.
The first one is going through three mazes while U3 hunts you down. The second is a more traditional boss fight with U3 sporting a plaga that can split you in half. It's a great and challenging fight and one of the exclusive high points in classic RE4.
2 Reapers
168澳洲幸运5开奖网:One-hit-kill enemies are always scary to a certain degree, and Resident Evil has plenty of th🐟em. The Reapers, appearing only in RE5, is up there in terms of the scariest. A huge bug-like monster, its main attack is grabbing and ☂stabbing you until your dead. You need to kill it from a distance because fighting it close up can get nasty.
Not only do you risk its instant kill grab, but it sprays a black gas obscuring your vision. This makes it nearly impossible to aim for its weak spot. The Reaper is one monster you just have to run from in order to survive, and that's what makes it so effective.
1 Lisa Trevor 🅰
One of the scariest monsters in all of Resident Evil has to be Lisa Trevor. Appearing only in the RE1 remake, she's got the total package in terms of what makes a great horror enemy. She's got a disturbing, messed-up backstory. Her sounds and lines are scary as all hell, plus she's invincible and can't be killed, only knocked down.
Lisa was made entirely for the remake and is probably the best new addition. The only downside is her boss fight can be frustrating since she can knock you off and kill you instantly, but every other aspect more than makes up for it. Lisa is so noteworth💝y in this game that she even appeared in the Resid꧙ent Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City movie.
