The games are known for their blood, gore, and all-around horror. Sometimes, however, the games try too hard and end up making the player laugh instead of scaring them. It's not the "funny on purpose" moments, like the kid's playground sequence in Resident Evil 6, but parts of the game that were meant꧒ to be serious and didn't quite ma🗹ke it.

Resident Evil Monsters Salazar

Ramon Salazar is a character that could embody the whole concept of comical as opposed to frightening. Capcom is always trying to build him up as some nightmarish evil genius but he always comes off as a joke in the end. One of the scenes that best embodies this is 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:when Leon throws a knife through his hand during a tense confrontation, cutting his intimidating speech off. That alone makes the player laugh, but even worse is 🀅this simpering villain that scares nobody.

9 Wesker And Claire, Code Veronica 🌟

168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Wesker is at least a genuine villain who really scares us. On the other hand, some of the quirks that are supposed to make him more sinister are funny instead. There's the running joke throughout the franchise about his stubborn refusal to take his sunglasses off, for one thing, but this refers to one scene in Code Veronica when he confronts Claire. His slow, sinister laugh always sounds exactly the same no mattꦯer what he's doing, including giving her a methodical beating. It turns into a satire of itself very quickly.

8 ๊ The Ceiling Trap, Re♈sident Evil 1996

The first Resident Evil game is famous for a number of rౠeasons, not all of them complimentar💖y. It might have started the survival horror video game genre, but it also has some of the most comical dialogue of any gaming franchise ever.

This is scene is famous for the line in the aftermath about a "Jill sandwich" which is a mistake in translation. The room in which Jill is trapped, however, is supposed to be a tense moment that ends up being funny not only because of the voice🌟 acting but the total lack of suspense.

7 𝓡 The Live-Action Introduction, Resident Evil 1996 ꦉ

This was a big thing at the time. It was the era of found footage movies and reality TV and video games were following suit. The 1990s were all about making video games play like movies, which might be why this happened. It's trying to set up a classic horror story but goes over the top and makes the players laugh 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:at the bad acting and vintage cliches. The scene 🌸does work because it satirizes horror tropes, which is keeping with the tone of the whole series, but it's not intentional here.

6 It Got Old Fast, Resident Evil 𒈔3, Neme꧑sis

via: usgamer.net

The Tyrant from Resident Evil 2 is one of the most terrifying villains in video game history, so it's obvious the designers were trying to recreate the same type of terror in the next installment. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:How could the Umbrella Corporation ever create something worse than the Tyrant? That's Nemesis, except when it's not. At first, it's a scary thing for sure, but the way 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Nemesis keeps popping up it starts to feel more like a comedy punchlineꦏ than a moment of creeping horror.

5 🍬 Openin💯g Scene, Resident Evil 2

Recall a time when video g🌠ames just threw players in the deep end. This is both scary and funny, as it's a mo෴ment when the game lets the player know exactly what the learning curve is going to be like. In this case, it's a steep one.

The moment the player enters the abandoned Raccoon City Police Department, a seeming refuge from the chaos outside, they're confron🧸ted by monster hanging from the ceiling and scuttling behind walls, just to start. Save early and save often.

4 Flying The Jet✨, Resident Evil 6

Putting aside the snark that everything in this game is a joke right down to the whole plot, this particular encounter is 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:funnier in hindsight. When a playꦆer is actually trying to do this, pilot an awkward aircraft while also fighting undead minions, it's not so funny. The Resident Evil franchise isn't popular because of flight simulators or combat strategy. What is this even doing here?

3 ♛ Punching Boulders, Resident Evil 5

chris punching boulders

Speaking of things that don't belong in Resident Evil gameshow about volcanoes and boulders? 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:World of Warcraft players will laugh the loudest at th🌠is because it looks like Chris and Sheva took a detour to Molten Core. As if the setting isn't silly enough, Chris has to create a path across the lava by punching boulders into place. Sure, this would totally work and it isn't a tangent from the subject matter at all.

2 Ben And Leo𝓡n In The Jail, Resident Evil 2

The Tyrant himself is a terrifying villain, and๊ we're scared of him already, but one of his most brutal killings early in this installment so cliche that's it's more funny than tragic. Leon meets a desperate prisoner in the Raccoon City jail, Ben, who offers to give him a pass to the parking garage.

At first, the player might think that this choice is supposed to be part of the story. The options are to take a chance at letting this person out to get their card, or leave them there and try to find another exit. Instead, a giant arm teaches through th☂e back wall and crushes Ben's head. To make this even more over the top, Ada appears 🔯and completely distracts Leon from the bubbling mass of human goo only a few feet away.

1 Snakebit🌼e Scene, Resident Evil 1996

Before meeting Yawn, a boss in the mansion, the creature attacks Richard who is badly wounded. In both versions, the player is sent to get a serum to heal him, but considering the obvious damage to his body, that's just ridiculous. This was fixed in the remastered version somewhat, as the player has 🤡the option of saving Richard which is even less likely,  which is less melodramatic than his death scene but still pretty humorous.
