Netflix has🔜 officially confirmed that a Resident Evil live-action TV show adaptation is in the works. And it's all about Wesker's kids.

Some of you may remember a leaked plot synopsis for a🉐 rumored Residenꦉt Evil Netflix adaptation back in Fe🐭bruary that was supposed to be about a town Maryland that has a zombie outbreak. Well, you can forget all about it since apparently the show has been completely rewritten to be about Wesker's kids.

Which leads us to the obvious question, "Wait, Wesker had kids?" It's never mentioned 🍒in the video games, but before being killed in Resident Evil 5, Wesker settled down to have a family. He had two daughters (twins, or else conceived back-to-back so that they're both 14 years old) named Jade and Billie Wesker.

After the untimely destruction of Raccoon City, Umbrella Corporation builds New Raccoon City to get a fresh start. But as expected, there's a T-virus outbreak and everyone t🗹urns into zombi𝕴es. Hilarity ensues.

"When the Wesker kids move to New Raccoon City, the secrets they uncover might just be the end of everything,” writes Netflix on Twitter. “168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Resident Evil, a new live-action series based on Capcom’s legendary sꦡurvival horror franchise, is coming to Netflix."

A larger plot synopsis reveals the eight-episode series will actually have two timelines. The first timeline deals with the Weskers as kids in the early days of the outbreak. The second timeline is over a decade in the future after everyone has been turned into zombies and there are only 15 million humans left alive on Earth. Jade has to figure out her past in order to secure her future, which leads one to꧂ wonder just what exactly happened to Billie.

“Resident Evil is my favorite game of all time,” wrote series writer Andrew Dabb (who you might remember from Supernatural). “I’m incredibly excited൩ to tell a new chapter in this amazing story and bring the first-ever Resident Evil series to Netflix members around the world. For every type of Resident Evil fan, including those joining us for the first time, the series w🍒ill be complete with a lot of old friends, and some things (bloodthirsty, insane things) people have never seen before.”

Bronwen Hughes (The Walking Dead, The Journey Is the Destination) will executive produce the show and direct the first two episodes, while Constantin Films will serve as the production company. That's the same German film company that made the Resident Evil movies and is working on the upcoming 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Monster Hunter film adaptation.

Besides the whole Wesker having children angle, the show sounds like a Resident Evil plot. 𓂃No cast or release date was announced so this is like🐠ly still in the very early stages of production. Patience is a virtue and all that.
