The first Resident Evil remake on GameCube was astounding. Capcom pushed that console to make it look better in many regards to Nintendo’s competitors. Even today it looks good with the remaster making it🧔 even better. There was talk for🎶 a long time to get other games remade as well and after a long swell of rumors, it finally happened.
Not only did 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Resident Evil 2 get a remake, but a year later so did 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Resident Evil 3. It makes sense since both take place around the same area and time period ⛦thus it saved Capcom some asset restructuring. Which of the two was better though? Technically, based on scores alone, Resident Evil 2 is higher on Metacritic. Is that the case when brok🧜en down piece by piece or does Jill have a chance?
8 Campaign: Resident Evil 3
The story and overall length of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Resident Evil 3 is better. Some gamers prefer their campaigns to be longer. A Leon or Claire scenario is about as long as one of Jill’s but considering that there are two campaigns, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Resident Evil 2 is technically longer then. If these were distinct campaigns this would be a plus for that game🌺 but they really aren’t which is why length is a subtraction for Resident Evil 2 in this instance. Resident Evil 3 is just tig🌠hter all around.
7 Playable Characters: Resident Evil 2
That said, Resident Evil 2 has more characters. Even though Claire a🍸nd Leon’s paths don’t diverge that much, thওey have unique characteristics which makes playing as each unique in some regard.
Not only that but Ada and Sherry also have mini sections which are interesting if not a little under baked. Carlos can be played in Resident Evil 3 which is also a good section of the game, but it d🔴oesn’t compare to Resident Evil 2’s choices.
6 Tyrant Pursuer: Resident Evil 3
The one character that really matters in Resident Evil 3 is Nemesis. Mr. X was a prototype of Nemesis on PS1 which was expanded upon in the sequel. The remake’s version tried to be as menacing, and it certainly was and still is creepy, but there is nothing like hearing Nemesis whisper “stars” to get the heart pumping. Plus he h🥂as the whole Kool-Aid man approach to catching up to Jill. It’s equal parts awesome and terrifying.
5 Locations: Resident Evil 2
The Raccoon Police Department is as iconic to the series as the Spencer𒅌 Mansion is from the first game. It’s actually a lot shorter than one probably remembers from the original. The rest of the game’s locations are fine with the Umbrella facility being the other standout. Resident Evil 3’s expansion of Raccoon City is cool to finally see the streets but there isn’t a single location that is as iconic as either the RPD building or the Spencer Mansion. Y𒉰es, the RPD building is in that game as well, but not as fleshed out.
4 Unlockables: Resident Evil 3
While there are certainly plenty of extras to unlock in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Resident Evil 2 like in modes and costumes, how one does it can be tricky. It mostly boils down to completion time and ranks. That helps one get points in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Resident Evil 3 and these points can be spent in a shop. This is used to unlock weapons, costumes, or even concept art. It’s a simple, b🐎ut well implemented system of incentives to keep one playing.
3 Puzzles: Resident Evil 2
Resident Evil 3 started as a spinoff to the series with action in mind. While it took on the role as the next big 🌱game, it kept its combat mentality. It was action first, puzzles second which may be a plus for some gamers. For those that like puzzles akin to the first game, Resident Evil 2 uses them better like the gem puzzles in t🌄he police station. Do the puzzles makes sense? No, Resident Evil puzzles rarely do but they are still good. Who is designing these places?
2 Multiplayer: Resident Evil 3
168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Resident Evil 2 doesn’t have multiplayer. It has extra modes as it was aforementioned above but they don’t add co-op to the mix. New to this remake of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Resident Evil 3 was Resident☂ Evil: Resistance. It didn’t have the staying power as other 4v1 games, but it was an interesting experiment to say the least. It might even be the best multiplayer in the series, not counting campaign co-op optionไs like in Resident Evil 5.
1 Verdict: Resident Evil 3
Overall, whi💧ch Resident Evil game actually took advantage of the time to recreate something new? What game fixed the mistakes of the past in other words? The biggest gripe one could cite about Resident Evil 2 was that both campaigns were too alike. Capcom could have changed them so that a Leon and Claire run would make more canonical sense bu𒊎t they failed to do that.
As it was said before, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Resident Evil 3 is tighter as in the remake had a better flow than the original PS1 release. That’s why it is overall the better game between the two. Both, to make it abundantly clear, are great games though. Given this track record, hopefully Resident Evil 4 is next even though most can agree it stil🦄l holds up on its own.
