The 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Resident Evil franchise is no stranger to melodrama. With all the horrifying monsters, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:tense boss battles and con🎐voluted virus-related plots, these games can be super stressful, high-stakes exp♉eriences.
One thing that 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:mak🤪es this survival horror not so scary, however, is its infamous dialogue. Like any B-movie, the games feature a lot of questionable lines. Whether they’re poorly worded, unintentionally ridiculous, or𒀰 simply cheesier than⛦ an all-you-can-eat Pizza Hut buffet, here are some choice lines from the series that just weren’t supposed to be so hilarious.
10 “Saddler, YOU’RE Small Time.” - Leon S. Kennedy, Resident Evil 4 ♉ 🌳
Now, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Resident Evil 4 is often regarded as one of the greatest games ever made. Far more action-oriented than previous titles in the series, it still retained the tension and horror of old. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Resident Evil 5 and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:6, meanwhile, didn't really.
Even so, thꦬe much-beloved game still boasts its share of meme-worthy silliness too. Leon S. Kennedy is an action hero suddenly, which means that his retorts and questionable quips come thick and fast. He communicates with his antagonists several times over his radio, and in one memorable instance, Osmund Saddler warns him not to become cocky simply because he killed his “small time subordinate” (castellan Ramon Salazar). Leon’s response, "Saddler, YOU'RE small time," almost certainly sounded better in his head.
9 🍎 “It’s Secret Weapon 😼Time!” - Ada Wong, Resident Evil 2
Of the franchise’s cast of icon and memorable characters, Ada Wong is perhaps among the most ‘serious’ of all. Calm, collected and rather distant, she’s a talented agent who performs well under pressure and rarely lets her emotions show. In short, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:this fan favorite isn’t one to offer ♐silly lines for the saꦆke of it.
Still, her pursuit of Annette Birkin in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Resident Evil 2 seemed to give her ample opportunity to embarrass herself. Realizing that some high-tech gadgetry was called for to find the elusive Doctor, she takes out her EMF Visualizer, proudly stating, “It’s secret weapon time!” Oh dear.
8 “It Was A Huge Snake, And Also… Poisonous.” - 🥃Richard A🧸iken, Resident Evil
The famed REmake, the remake of the origꦗinal that first hit the GameCube in 2002, took the opportunity to recreate the game’s dialogue. Thankfully, it was also rewritten, giving Richard Aiken a little more dignity in his previously laughable intro/potential ཧdeath scene.
In the PlayStation original, his infamous “it was a huge snake, and also… poisonous” (after a run in with Yawn) really didn’t do jus👍tice to the gravity of the situation. The dramatic music and Jill’s frantic arm-waving (if playing as her) really didn’t help what should ha🦄ve been a grave moment.
7 “You Want S.T.A.R.S.? I’ll Gi🌜ve You ꩵS.T.A.R.S.!” - Jill Valentine, Resident Evil 3
It’s an old horror trope all genre fans are familiar with: the villain is rarely down for the count the first t﷽ime. They may appear to be, but the heroes shouldn’t take their eyes off of them for a second. It’s also a movie tradition that the protagonist must s🎶peak the corniest line they can muster before finally taking them down.
Both of these elements are popular in video games too, never more so than in the case of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Resident Evil 3: Nemesis’ big bad. The relentless B.O.W. pursued 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:fan favorite Jill Valentine through the whole game, determined to wipe out any S.T.A.R.S. witnesses who knew what happened in Raccoon City. On finally getting the better of the nigh-unstoppable creature, Jill’s line “you Want S.T.A.R.S.? I’ll Give You S.T.A.R.S.!” fell hilariously flat. Still, it was delivered far better in the recent remake than iꦚt was in the original.
6 ꧑ “You Will Give Me An Egg🐼!” - Albert Wesker: Resident Evil 5
Of course, Resident Evil 5 is riddled with hammy acting and less-than-choice lines from Albert Wesker. The game was essentially the swansong for 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:this enigmatic villain, and he was determined to take ꦓadvant๊age of that limelight.
One of his best and most meme-worthy lines in the game comes from the multiplayer modes. When playing together, gamers can exchange gear from their inventories, using different voice prompts to let their partner know what they need. The fact that eggs can be used as silly thrown weapons or healing items is brilliant enough in itself, but the way that Wesker asks for/demands one with a “you will give me an egg!” is just priceless.
5 “Nice car, Eth🐼an! Haha, Mind I𝐆f I Take It For A Spin?” - Jack Baker, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard
Generally speaking, Resident Evil’s villains tend to have very tragic backstories. The terrible deeds committed against the likes of Lisa Trevor are among the very worst of 168澳洲ꦆ幸运5开奖网:the Umbrella Corporation’s shady doings.
The Baker family’s story is among the saddest of all. Victims of Eveline rather than Umbrella’s usual machinations, they were truly made into monsters. Jack Baker, in particular, dogs the player’s every move during the early portion of the game. He’s utterly terrifying, but the way he lets loose with one of the most clichéd and predictable lines of all time (“Nice car, Ethan! Haha, mind if I take it for a spin?”) as he climbs in and tries to run the plඣayer down completely breaks the immersion.
4 “I Don’t Know. A Room ಌI Think. Somewhere On The Ship.” - Jill Valentine, Resident Evil: Revelations ♒
Jill Valentine is a real series stalwart, one of the most popular main characters in the series. This is partly because she’s just that darn cool, and partly because she’s been entangled in some of the most ridiculous and hilarious dialogue the ꦗgames have to offer.
Even the Master of Unlocking™ has her off days, which explains the utter failure in her powers of deduction that occurred when she found herself separated from partner Parker Luciani in Resident Evil: Revelations. A concerned Luciani radios Jill, asking if she’s okay and where she is. Her response, “I Don’t Know. A Room I Think. Somewhere On The Ship” r🍃eally didn’t help him at♚ all. In a room? On a cruise ship? Thanks Jill, that narrows it all the way down.
3 🅠 “Better Save Myself First!” - Jake Muller, Resident Evil 6
Resident Evil 6’s Jake Muller was under no illusions about being a hero. Absolutely none. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The game’s main cast (aside fro✱m the regulars who returned) weren’t super memorable and likeable, perhaps, but there was something especially abrasive about him.
With his father Albert Wesker’s blood in his veins, it’s revealed that Muller has the antibodies needed to save the world from the C-Virus. He’s initially reluctant and demands a huge cash settlement in exchange for a pint of his blood, but Sherry Birkin continually reminds him that he has a responsibility to save the world. In one instance, he makes the wisecrack “better save myself first,” before diving to safety ahead of Sherry. 🅰It’s far from his finest moment or his finest line.
2 “How Can These Things Be Alive If They’re Already Dead?” - Claire Redfield, Resident Evil: The Darkside Chron꧂icles
Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles is rather obscure as series entries go. It’s the follow up to The Umbrella Chronicles, two rail shooters that originally launched on the Wii. They were intended to provide a unique new way of experiencing the Resident Evil series, w♍hile diving into its lore and adding interesꦏting new tidbits to bridge the gaps between games.
The events of The Darkside Chronicles take place two years prior to those of Resident Evil 4, with the former featuring 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Claire Redfield. Naturally, horrible happenings abound, and a dumbfounded Claire asks, “how can these things be alive if they’re already dead?” There’s just something about this line that doesn’t sit well at all with Resident Evil as we know it.
1 “You We🎶re Almost A Jill Sandwich!” – Barry Burton, Resident Evil
Yes, the original game’s just s𒐪uch an easy target when it comes to this, but it would be remiss not to celebrate perhaps the worst line in series history.
The remake did improve this sparkling piece of dialogue to “a second late, you would’ve fit nicely into a sandwich,” but… that’s not really much less ridiculous or inappropriate, really. The classic “you were almost a Jill sandwich” has a special place in fans’ he꧑arts, as does lovable Barry Burton hi🔜mself.
