3 It’s The Spleen!
This is an obscure, but fun reference from the Angry Beavers episode, “Up All Night.” In it, Daggett and Norbert watch this cheesy B-movie called The Crawling Spleen. The titular spleen is reall꧅y just𒊎 a thumb with some fatty tissue dragging behind it and could literally scare no one... No one except for sleep deprived beavers.
Anyway, before Nemesis cracks his final ♍evolution, he crawls onto the ওscene like a giant cocoon, or in this case, a spleen!
2 Clean Up This Mess
This is another great reference to a 90s cartoon, Dexter's Laboratory. In "Trapped With a Vengeance" Dexter is confronted with a crazed janitor, Yani, who is tired of cleaning up his messes. It’s basically a Die Hard parody and should not be missed.
The joke here is that when Jill explodes Nemesis’ aforementioned final form, it leaves the room absolutely disgusting making one think about what an Umbrella janitor would have to go through. They must make great oveꦜr✱time pay!
1 Oh My God, It's Dip!
Right before Nemesis evolves into what looks like The Crawling Spleen, Carlos drowns it in a vat of acid. The way it looks is very reminiscent of the Dip in Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
In fact, when the Judge melts the cartoon shoe in the film, it looks just like ജthe red puddle Nemesis turns into! Or vice versa, depending on your sense of humor. Based on the cinematography in this scene, it’s hard to imagine this wasn’t a reference by one of the developers.
