168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Resident Evil Village isn’t an open-world game, but it is a large map overall. It’s more like a smaller sandbox, sort of like a Metroidvania, with new secrets awaiting Ethan behind every corner with each new key and collectible he acquires. So, that is to say, it’s very much like many games 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:in the series, especially the recent remakes.
There are many areas to explore in this game but boiling them down to their essences, there are six key areas worth ranking out. In order to evaluate these sections of the game properly, there will be spoilers ahead, although✃ they won’t divulge🤡 everything. Be wary, anyway!
6 Heisenberg’s Factory
This is the last big section of the game. Parts of it are cool, like when Ethan first walks into it to see that far-reaching line of robot bodies on the assembly line. It is visually cool and horrifying. The rest of the factory is about as exacting as every other factory environment 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:in the series, which is to say 'not very.'
The end boss fight is pretty spectacularly epic though. It’s a mech fight right out of Metal Gear Solid, which may be upsetting for some fans. It doesn’t seem to fit right with this game, in other words. That said, fans can still appreciate it on a novel level outside of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:this horror series. As a final note, Heisenberg, as a character, rules and is un൩fortunatel♎y not explored that much, which is true for most villains in this game.
5 The Lycan Caves
This one pops up just outside the factory level. It doesn’t really have any puzzles to it and feels the most like a level ripped out of Resident Evil 4. It is very action-heavy, which, to its credit, is one of the only places in this game that is action-heavy. The action is thankfully more stretched o🅠ut and doesn’t have as many defined monster closets.
That’s not to say Resident Evil 4’s implementations were bad. In fact, that’s why the lycan hive is better than the factory — because it had more interesting encounters and was more different than other aspects of the game as a whole. A cave and a factory don’t offer muc🧸h on their own visually, so it was almost a tie.
4 Moreau’s Mine And Sunken City
There isn't much to the mine. Like the lycan caves, it’s just that — a mine, except with tons of green disgusting bubbles. ꧋Thankfully t𝔍he mines are only a small portion of Moreau’s domain. The bigger half is a sunken city of sorts, with tons of facilities either underwater or in disrepair. Trying to avoid his giant fish form while trying to repair it and avoid being eaten alive makes the whole situation incredibly tense.
This tension is also thanks to the music clueing players in to be cautious as well. There aren't many big set pieces that take place in open outdoor areas, which is why this section stands out so much. The final boss battle with Moreau isn’t that exciting, though. The acid rain he showers down on Ethan has horrifying effects, to say the least, but it is easy enough to avoid. It’s not the worst boss fight 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:in the series but it has been done similarly before.
3 Dimitrescu Castle
This area was most heavily advertised in the game’s trailers, along with the village portion. So, many players found it weird that it featured so little in the actual game. This is especially true for the fans out there that wanted more time to be dominated by Lady Dimitresc✤u’s large proportions. What little there was of her was a treasure, though.
The castle itself was very classic Resident Evil which made it feel warm and nostalgic. It was a spooky place with tons of puzzles and backtracking. There weren’t many cannon fodder enemies like the classic zombies, but that’s okay. Getting chased around by Lady Dimitrescu or her daughters was more entertaining. They were like Mr. X or Nemesis from the two recent remakes 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:in the series.
2 The Village
The village should be the set piece of this game as that is the title of this 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Resident Evil adventure. It’s a very close tie between this area and the number one pick. Fi🐷rst, what sets the village apart is that it’s so expansive. It could be seen as a normal village setup, whᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚich it is.
The great thing about it, though, is that after every other portion of the game, something new becomes available to explore. Whether that was exploring new h🐠ouses for loot, or running away from the first full beast werewolf, it was all great. It may be a bit unfair to put this area so high since it encompasses so many places together. It is the name of the game though, so again💦, it should be as close as possible to the number one slot.
1 Donna’s Doll House
The true number one spot is without a doubt the scariest portion of the game and perhaps the franchise as a whole. Dolls are already scary enough without the added effects of the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Resident Evil series. They’re actually not the 🥀most horrifying piece of t𓂃he puzzle, though.
It’s the fact that nothing happen💝s to Ethan for most of the dollhouse. That suspense of the expected is crazy. It’s just a set of puzzles unꦍtil the lights suddenly go out and players start to hear a baby crying. Without spoiling it too much, let’s just say it was hard to move in this section of the game in fear of what was behind the next corner. It ruled.
