Resident Evil is 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:a horror series that has never been grounded completely in reality. At worst it’s been a series of sci-fi stories with somewhat plausible events that could be explained away in some part. Can zombies or mutant soldiers ever exist? Probably not, but it’s certainly more plausible than the magic going on in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Resident Evil Village.
Capcom, to its credit, does try to explain things to make bug people more of a swallowable idea. There ꦕare oth🦹er things that are perhaps a little harder to buy. There will be spoilers ahead for those interested in some silly observations and or questions.
10 Crazy Day/Night Cycle
When Ethan wakes up from the car crash, it’s pitch black outside. This is great because it makes the scene extra spooky. He eventually finds a house and maybe spends ten minutes in there at max, depending on the player, before exiting t📖o find it to be morning. How could the day/niꩵght cycle be that crazy in this part of the world?
9 Disintegrating Weapons
One of the most senseless things in this game, and in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Resident Evil 4 (from which this game takes a lot of inspiration), is not being ꧒able to pick up weapons.
In 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Resident Evil 4 they just drop. In this game, they disintegrate along with the body. A bod🍎y going into an ashen state upon death is weird enough, although they are monsters so it’s a bit more believable. Ashen weapons is another story.
8 Inventory Issues
Video games with weight limits or limited inventory space is fine as long as it is consistent. In this game — and many games 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:in the series — it is not. Ethan’s usable space is determined by♍ a suitcase that one presumably thinks he carries around. That’s odd but, whatever — it’s a video game thing.
Contrary to that, treasure and key items take up no space, which is good for the p🧔layer but a head-scratcher all the same. This is especially true when considering bigger items Ethan carries around li🌄ke the Giant’s Chalice.
7 Might As Well Jump
So many problems in this game♕ could beඣ solved by a jump button. There are corners of the castle where Ethan can get trapped by one of the vampire witches.
He coul🌄d escape by jumping down from the balcony overlooking the ground floor, but that’s not an option. Simply clim🎐bing a fence from a locked gate is also impossible for Ethan it seems. This guy needs to work out more.
6 The Spiked Wheel Trap
There are plenty of traps in this game and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:in this series that no mere mortal should survive. One of the early examples is the 📖spiked wheel that grinds toward Ethan after he escapes the Lycans Heisenberg sics on him.
The way to beat it is to hide in the corner and, at the right moment, ꦇEthan will block the blades with his cuffs and break them. Vampire giants, fish monsters, an🎀d even magnetic powers make more sense than this solution.
5 Disarming Ethan
No one disarms Ethan whenever they capture him — Heisenberg doesn’t in the beginnin🌄g. Lady Dimitrescu doesn’t in the castle. The only one that does is Donna, and it's💝 questionable.
It appears as though she took his weapons and items away but it’s supposedly just an illusion. The dollhouse portion doesn’t make sense itself, but overal▨l, the idea🐈 of the villains not taking away Ethan’s stuff doesn't, either.
4 Vampire Weakness
Lady Dimitrescu and her three daughters seem invincible but all four of them have glaring weaknesses. Tꦫhe daughters are made up of bugs that, if frozen, will solidify their bodies, allowing them to be harmed.
Why move to this frigid region if that is a weakness? For Laꦅdy Dimitrescu, she is near impervious to damage except when Ethan strikes her with that dagger, triggering some sort of reaction to weaken her bo🌺dy. Why keep that on the premises?
3 Shot But Okay
🃏At the beginning of the game, Ethan finds his first villager behind a curtain. This villager shoots off his gun, which seems to be straight ahead facing Ethan, and yet he takes no damage.
It could have been a blank or he could have swayed the shot at the𝓀 last minute. It’s not the most senseless thiꦺng in the game, but the way it plays out is certainly questionable.
2 Was Rose Really In Those Jars?
If one looks at Rose in the beginning of the game andꦑ then at the jars she’s supposedly k🌳ept in, one could determine these jars are too small. That head alone shouldn’t fit in these jars.
It’s never really determined if her body really was split into fo🦩ur or not. It could have been a lie 🌳and maybe it was just the essence of these body parts that was extracted, like blood, or some other fluids.
1 Ethan Dies To Die Again?
This issue is more a problem with the script itself. Ethan dies by Miranda’s hand — litera𝓰lly ripping out his heart, making the player think he’s dead. If that were the case, it wo♔uld have been super impactful.
The twist is that he has been a Mold creature this whole time, 🍌which raises so many questions. Without his heart, he apparently can’t function for long, but he does have enough energy to rescue his daughter and sacrifices himself once more. It’s l🍰ike having two encores. It wasn’t needed.
