Resident Evil Village Review

One of the biggest complaints? Not enough of the tall vampire lady. The hyped character apparently only plays a fleeting role in the narrative – something fans likely won't expect after she'd been turned into a meme and swamped social media.

At its core, Resident Evil Village is a dark, horrific tale that once again thrusts Ethan Winters into harm's way. It's also a bit of a throwback to Resident Evil 4, with much of the pacing and overall tone reminiscent of the iconic game.

It's also worth pointing out that none of these reviews encapsulate Resident Evil Re:Verse, which has been delayed and is a completely separate experience from Village. The multiplayer-only game comes included with every purchase of Resident Evil Village, although we'll need to wait a bit longer to check out the cartoonish-horror game in action.

For now, you can rest easy knoꦓwing Vill🥃age seems to live up to the hype.

Resident Evil Village launches on May 7.
