Resident Evil 8 - How To Get The Magnum

Magnum RE8

Take the stairs up and exit the windmill. Open the iron gate straight ahead by using the Crank. Run up the path here and shoot the crows for some extra Lei. Follow the path along and use your sniper rifle to take out the vampire bats above. Head up the top of this area where the wooden walkway is and you’ll find a shrine containing the Mermaid Ball. You can use this on the dioram༒a near the windmill on our way back to get a valuable💮 item to sell.

First though, h🌳ead to the hut opposite the shrine and collect the Magnum Ammo from outside. Inside you’ll find a zomb𒊎ie and a barrel with some Lei. Inside the hut opposite, you’ll find more zombies and some Handgun Ammo. There’s a brick house along the way from there, but the front door is locked. Head around the back and through the crawlspace. Kill the werewolf inside.

Open the chest inside and you’ll find Resident Evil 8’s magnum: the M1851 Wolfsbane. This powerful magnum tears through most enemies in the game. It’s a good job because you’ll be🦹 attacked by a beast as soon as you head outside. It’s a good excuse to𒐪 try the magnum out, mind you.

Head to the Southern tip of this area and you’ll find a well to use the Well Wheel on. Do that and you’ll get some Flashbang ammo f𓆉or your grenade launcher. This ammo is great for stunning enemies and following up with another weapon. Once you’re done there, head back to the village hub and foll🔥ow the not-very-subtle signs to the next location.

Claudia Beneviento’s Grave

Claudia Beneviento’s Grave re8

You can also head to the Mechanical Door by the chicken symbol on your map at this point to use your Crank. Get the Poultry from the chickens and climb the ladder to grab the Pigeon Blood Ruby from up top - combine that with your Necklace With Twoඣ Holes to make a more valuable item. There a🌺re a couple of goats in the Graveyard as well - kill them for some Meat.

There’s an open mausoleum in the Graveyard that contains a Broken Slab. Remember that gravesite on the way to House Beneviento? It’s for that. It’s quite the detour, but you can head back there before moving on. You’ll also find some more goats along the way and have a fight with a giant that will drop another valuable item. Placing the slab awards you with Berengario’s Chalice - a valuable you can sell to The Duke.

Once you’re done tying up loose ends, head back to the Graveyard and follow the signs to the Northeast, taking you to a locked door you can♛ open with the Six-Winged Unborn Key. Follow the path along and go left through the foliage, emerging on the other side to see a large building flanked by torches. Cross the river and enter the building from the left, smashing the box in front of this side of the building to get some Lei. You’ll need to shoot 𝔉the padlock off a metal gate here to get inside. There’s a pig you can kill here, as well as a shelf with a couple of Mines, a Crystal Fragment, and another box containing Lei.

Head into the building and throu🍌gh the doors. You’ll come to a workshop with a giant inside. Place some of your mines around the room in strategic locations before he spots you and then attack. He takes a lot of damage so plant your feet, fire, and then run away whenever he gets close, using the entire room. Don’t forget to run over your mines, prompting him to do the same. Use the red barrels dotted about to your advantage and fire a pistol round at them whenever he gets close. When the vampire bats turn up, just use your shotgun to get them out of the way quickly, and then return your focus to the giant.

RE8 The Ruins

When he finally goes down, make sure you grab all the items dotted around the room because you’ve likely used up the majority of your supplies by now. Exit the room via the padlocked door on the opposite side of the room from where you entered. Make sure you shoot all three padlocks off and head through. You’ll find various types of meat and an Herb in this room. Grab it all and follow the only route forward. There’s a box around the next corner - open it up to get Father Nichola’s Angel, another valuable to sell. There are a couple of boxes just after this, on a shelf to the left, containing ammo. You’ll be attacked by werewolves aಞs you try to leave so deal with them and head back through the foliage to where you came from. On the other side of the foliage, take a left and into the dark passage.

On the other side of the passage, you’ll be set upon by more werewolves. You need to use all your skills in this section, taking werewolves out with your sniper rifle at a distance and using theﷺ shotgun and pistol as they get close. Take them out and keep pushing forward to the ruins ahead. You’ll be assaulted the entire way there so you may need to craft some ammunition to survive. Grab any items dropped by enemies and smash any boxes you see along the way. Inside the ruins, there’s a Mine, as well as two boxes - one with Lei and one with🐠 Rusted Scrap. Grab those and then take the passage on the right, taking the slope leading upwards. Place the Mine here. Keep following it around and you’ll be attacked again, this time from both sides.

Use the red barrel below for a free couple of ✅kills and then push forward, taking out the enemies in front of you. Your Mine will give you a bit of a head start, taking out any pursuers. Keep mo💧ving so you’re a harder target for the archers, killing as you go. At the top of the ruins, you need to take the steps in the left corner - grab the Sniper Rifle Ammo from up top and pull the lever. You’ll be attacked again, so fight the werewolves off and then head to the ladder on the right corner. Climb up and pull the lever. Drop down and you can now enter the gate in the middle. Take the stairs up and you’ll be in another room filled with supplies and a typewriter to save your progress.
