Unchar꧒ted meets Dark Souls occasionally causes problems.

Ever since the series started, Star Wars fans have been clamouring for 💮a chance to play as Din Djarin and adventure around the galaxy with Grogu, and it looks like we might actually be getting that wish. , Respawn Entertainment, the studio behind Titanfall, Apex Legends, and the Star Wars Jedi games, is currently working on a first-person Mandalorian title.

Din Djarin wields the Darksaber in The Mandalorian.

Insider Gaming reports that the game, which is still in the "early stages" of development and could be two years away from release, has players controlling a bounty hunter that has to go after bounties and turn them in either dead or alive. It's currently not clear if the bounty hunter that the player is controlling is The Mandalorian himself or if it's a custom character made by the player, but it's confirmed to be centred around bounty hunting.

The report also notes that the two guiding principles of the game's development are "style" and "mobility", something that's made possible thanks to the Mandalorian's jetpack. The player will be able to use this to dash around, slide, and vertically jump, which has led to sources calling it "very fast-paced".

Although Djin Djarin is known for using a jetpack, it's a standard bit of equipment for all Mandalorians, so it doesn't really confirm or deny that you'll play as him in the game.

Beyond being able to use a jetpack, the player will also have access to several other tools that the Mandalorians are known for using, such as a grapple hook, wrist rocket, and a visor that can be used to target enemies and spot bounties from afar. As well as being the Star Wars game that many have been asking about, it's starting to sound an awful lot like the cancelled Prey 2, which is absolutely a good thing.

Although Star Wars Outlaws' focus on being an open world might make you think that other games in the series are going to follow suit, Insider Gaming reports that Respawn's Mandalorian project will be linear and level-based.
