Revenge Of The Savage🎶 Planet Review - A Whole Goo World
The sci-fi sequel goes bigger, but is it better?
When you first crash-land on Pfyzzich Beach in the earliest hours of the game, the world of Revenge of the Savage Planet feels large, colorful, and just as alien as it's meant to, but we've got a few pro-tips to help ൩start you on the right foot.
Scan Everything As You Go
Practically as soon as you emerge from the wreckage on Stellaris Prime at the beginning of the game and collect Eko from nearby, you'll be on a mission to scan the items in your surroundings as you explore every planet nearby in search of a way back to Earth. Eko introduces you to the Kindex, a system in your journal menu that keeps tabsಞ on everything you're reco𓃲rding around each area in the game.
You can hover over each area on your map to see how many collectibles are in each area, but not only are there dozens of scannables in each region of every planet, you'll also occasionally find some overlap as you continue to branch out onto subsequent planetary missions. It's smart to scan as you go to save time backtracking if you'🧸re something of a completionist.
Scanning the flora, fauna, obstacles, and even stepping into and formally discovering new regions of each planet will log something new into your Kindex, so it's wise to scan every 50m or so as you walk if you're looking to log everything. Anything you've already scanned before will be outlined in blue, while any new discoveries you've yet to make are highlighted in an orange outline to differentiate.
Activate Every Teleporter You Find
Once you've made it to Nu Florida for the first time and begin to set off towards discovering what else Stellaris Prime has to offer, you'll see a mission pop up in your journal menu called Worlds Traveler, which tasks you with activating the teleporters around the worlds you're visiting in your adventure. They're often in fairly spread-out locations to give you some good range, but with so much inactive and wasteful Alta tech around you, you'll need to first reach every teleporter and activate it before you can use it.
Regularly activating teleporters in each location is essential to streamlining your playthrough of Revenge of the Savage Planet, since everything in the game ends up going through Stellaris Prime - when you die or restart the game, you'll end up back at your Habitat no matter where you were before. You'll also find that you drop resources when you die, and their location will be markܫed on the map for you to trek back from Nu Florida and retrieve.
With so much interplaneta♉ry work to do and large maps on each one full of creatures and monsters alike, you'll want to be quick travel unlocked in Revenge of the Savage Planet before too long. Eve🦩n if they're surrounded by a small fight or puzzle, it's worth it to stick around - you'll thank yourself later.

Thꦗe sci-fi comedy series is back for a bigger p♕lanet-hopping adventure.
Your Habitat Is Yours To Decorate (And Interact With)
Scan yourself into the mildly luxurious tiered mobile home you discover in Nu Florida (and try not to let the video message about losing your job and being stranded 100 light years from home get you down), and unlock yourself a home base to which you'll return often in Revenge of the Savage Planet. In the main room, you'll find work essentials - a teleporter, the computer you'll need for emails and research, a way to change your outfits, a video screen, and so much more - but anything past that is free to decorate as you'd like.
You'll have noticed the Alta crates littered 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:around the worlds as you explore, and when you find ones that aren't completely empty, you'll be able to interact with them and grab tons of Alta Bucks and Coupons, which you can then use to purchase decorations from the Alta Store back in the Habitat. There's everything from arcade cabinets to kitchen sets - anything a lost space expl𝓰orer might want for enrichment when they're back at the Habitat.
New items unlock in the Alta Store regularly, so anytime you're back at the Habitat for whatever reason, it's not a bad idea to enter the Home DKO menu from your central PC (or even just head into your living space and enter the decoration menu from there) and see what you've got on offer. There's plenty of interactivity you can do with these items, so be sure to check each one out after you place it and see wha💮t kinds of fun sꩵtuff you can get up to between ventures out into the worlds.
Make Finding Balls Of Goo A Priority
One of the first things Eko points out as you venture out from your crash site is to pay attention for Orange Goo - you may see them from afar 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:as you explore each area, but you'll also see them marked on your map in the journal with an orange goo icon after you've collected them. While it might seem a little foreign to just grab globs of goop and cram them into your mouth (somehow past the helmet - don't worry about it), this is how you'll increase your health and stamina.
Like most adventure games, you'll start of with low, limited capacities of each. Sta🌳mina is what allows you to run through these massive interplanetary worlds, while having a good amount of health is essential to sur⛄viving combat encounters throughout the game, especially once you get into the boss fights on the subsequent planets!
It's smart to regularly scan the area for ൲items no matter wher𒐪e you are, but one of the things this scan will highlight for you is nearby balls of orange goo, so scan often and pay attention!
Keep An Eye Out For Vitality Plants
While not as empowering as the balls of orange goo in Revenge of the Savage Planet, knowing where the nearest Vitality Plant is in your immediate vicinity is critical. One of the many natural features Eko shows you when you first branch out from the crash site on Stellaris Prime, interacting with Vitality Plants will immediately replenish your health.
Thankfully, these tend to be placed in areas with large m📖onster concentrations or high falls that may injure you with fall damage, so if you don't know where one is, these also show up on your scan of the area.

From combat to humour, Reve🐭nge of the♋ Savage Planet feels very Insomniac.
Change Yourself And Eko At The Habitat
Not long into your life in the Habitat in Nu Florida, you'll receive a message from the Shama Lama about a new program you've been enrolled in, abbrviated as the D.I.A.P.E.R. Program. As part of it, you'll need to hunt down scenic spots for selfies on each planet you visit in Revenge of the Savage Planet and snap a shot of your Pioneer posing. In exchange, you'll earn new outfits for all your cosmetic c🐈osmonaut needs. Change you✃r clothes at the Wardrobe back in the main room in your Habitat whenever you'd like a refresh.
Another thing you'll be able to do in this main hub is use the PC to customize your avatar, voice, and Eko's voice. One of the hallmarks of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:exploratory metroidvania adv⛦enture games like Revenge of the Savage Planet are often ultra-quippy sidekicks like Eko, but if their voice is getting on your nerves after a while, you can either change their voice or even reduce the requency with which Eko talks. If snark is maybe not your ༺favorite side dish with big a﷽dventures like this, turning Eko off completely won't hamper your understanding of the story.
You can find all of these settings in the Parameters menu on your Habitat PC.
The Kindex Teaches You To Fight Enemies
You've already heard from us and from Eko that you ought to be scanning the things in each environment as you explore the unique locations in Revenge of the Savage Planet, but as you're logging the colorful plant life and truly intriguing creatures, keep an eye out for any monsters that may not be quite to friendly. Part of filling your Kindex is scanning enemies you encounter, too, so be quick and careful in this work!
That said, once you've scanned an enemy in the game, you'll log information about it in your Kindex. While it might not always be possible to keep scanning the enemy and reading the information on the screen as it's coming at you with the intent to harm, it's never a bad idea to read up on monster Kindex entries when you've got some downtime.
A lot of these foes might not have straightforward ways to handle them, requiring either upgraded tools or reliane on the elements to survive. For example, the slimes you'll come across when first venturing out from Nu Florida don't care at all about your gun or melee attacks, but once you've unlocked the spray no🌺zzle upgrade and learn that these little guys dissolve in water from their Kindex entry, beating them and cleaning up the scene afterwards is a breeze.
