In the twin-stick shooter roguelike Revita, you control a nameless child with a gun ascending a clocktower for what is at first an unknown reason. On your way to the top you'll be forced to fight bosses named after the stages of grief, which will clue you into the fact that the child has lost something.

The specifics of that loss are up to you to figure out, and although you may also have to figure out the game's bosses as well, there are a few tricks you could learn to make their fights more palatable. Here's every boss in Revita and how you can beat them.

10 Denial

Revita screenshot of Revita Kid shooting Denial with the Blast Gun

Found in the Gazing Grove, Denial is the first boss you'll be able to beat. Denial will occasionally retreat into the air and slam back down to the ground, the location of which is always signaled by a vertical red line. Dashing to one side will help you avoid the slam, but you'll also have to be wary of the bullets that fly into the air afterwards.

If Denial's eyes flash red at any point, but the boss doesn't retreat into the air, they're about to fire a scattershot of bullets at you, so you should stand back. If Denial fires a volley of five bullets at you from the ceiling, stay on one side of the arena, then retreat to the other side once they've finished firing.

9 🥃 Anger (Fungated Funnels) ﷽

Revita screenshot of Revita Kid fighting Anger (Fungated Funnels)

On a regular run, your second boss will be Anger in the Fungated Funnels, an area that feels like a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:downtrodden version of the Mushroom🌌 Kingdom. Anger can dig into the ground and pop up from any segment of ground in the arena, indicating the intended location with a big red box. They'll occasionally summon mushroom enemies that shoot bullets at you - kill these as soon as possible so you don't get overwhelmed.

Anger may make their mushroom cap rotate in front of the💟m so it spews out bullets like a fountain. You can avoid these bullets by moving to the other side of the arena. They may also throw the hat and make it bounce off a few walls before returning, which you should avoid by staying on the ground and walking out of the way.

8 🥂 Anger (Hollow Hives) 𒈔

Revita screenshot of Anger (Hollow Hives)

Despite having the same name as the Fungated Funnel's boss, the Hollow Hives variant of Anger is completely different. Called B-Anger by the community, this boss floats in the air and only has three attacks: a diagonal stream of bullets that propels them in the direction they're firing, a spin attack that freezes them in place and makes them fire bullets in random directions, and a large bullet that falls to the ground and explodes into four smaller bullets.

For all three of these attacks, standing directly under the boss is hazardous, but standing directly to the left or right of them is mostly safe. During the second phase, the attack that propels B-Anger across the arena may instead fire bullets in four diagonal directions, so be wary of thatꦏ.

7 ꧟ Bargaining

Revita screenshot of Bargaining

Bargaining is fought in the Arid Athenaeum. Bargaining moves between three different locations throughout the fight: the ceiling, the middle of the room, and the floor. Since they swap positions so frequently, high range is preferred. While floating in the center of the arena, Bargaining fires icicles at you that will explode into a ring of bullets. You can dodge these bullets by baiting the icicle's trajectory to one side of the arena, then quickly moving to the other side.

On the ground, they'll spin like a top and track you down, requiring you to either jump over them or dash through them. Make sure to watch your step in the corners of the room, since the floor will be slippery.

6 Depression (ꦕSomber Sepulcher) 🔯

Revita screenshot of Revita Kid fighting Depression (Somber Sepulcher)

In comparison to the previous bosses, the Somber Sepulcher variant of Depression is a step up in difficulty. Their massive laser attack is a prime example of this: after charging up briefly, the laser will cover the entire lower half of the room. If you're too far from the boss, jump to the top of the opposite wall, then jump off the wall and dash towards Depression when the beam swings up.

For the rest of the fight, however, you may not want to rely on wall jumping. When the boss jumps, even if they're spewing bullets under themselves, your best option is to stay on the ground and dash in the opposite direction of their jump. And to avoid the series of laser beams that Depression summons from the sky, stutter your walk: instead of holding the movement button or stick so Revita Kid walks continuously, make him start and stop repeatedly so the beams are all concentrated in one area.

5 Depression (Calm Caldarium🙈) ⛄

Depression also has an alternate version that the community has named Deepression. The boss uses the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:water mechanics of the area (Calm Caldarium) to its advantage, forcing you to swim to avoid the giant tentacles that crash through the walls. In the second phase, the tentacles stay on screen until all of them have attacked, so you'll need to manipulate their trajectories so they don't corner you. Shooting these tentacles will deal damage to Deepression.

After a few tentacles have attacked you, the boss will fling itself at you and bounce off the walls, spewing a🔴 ri𒅌ng of bullets each time it bounces. Try not to back yourself into a corner while Deepression is in the arena.

4 Enigma

Revita screenshot of Enigma

Though Enigma is one of the first bosses you encounter in the game, you'll only be able to beat them near the end of the run. Enigma mostly shoots slow moving bullets in a ring around themselves, or directly at you. Because of the overwhelming number of bullets they shoot, you'll want to stay away from them until they're done firing, then swoop in for some damage between attacks.

Dashing through Enigma's large bullets is not advised, since they'll break into the smaller bullets and hit you in the back. Instead, try running away from the large bullets at first and dodge through the smaller bullets. Dashing through the chains he spawns, however, is advised.

3 🌜 🅷 Acceptance

Revita screenshot of Acceptance

After beating Enigma, you'll immediately be thrown into a battle with Acceptance, a shadowy version of Revita Kid. After teleporting around a bit, Acceptance may decide to stomp on the ground and shoot three vertical beams in quick succession on either side of them. Provided your dash has not been modified, it will refresh right before the next beam comes out. To avoid all three beams, dash through the first one, back up, then repeat the process two more times.

You can dodge their spear attack in two ways: moving into the open space between two spears, which lets you keep attacking Acceptance at an 🐎increased risk, or hugging a wall, which is guaranteed to be safe, but which may prevent you from dealing d🦂amage momentarily.

2 Mother

Revita screenshot of Mother

If you used a certain key to open a certain door in the Ticking Tower Top, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:you'll be able to fight Mother after beating Acceptance. Mother is a three-stage boss with many attacks. When she lands on the ground and charges at you, don't try to jump over her. Rather, dodge through her, then reposition yourself to dodge the fountain of bullets she releases.

Her massive bullet homes in on 🍨you, but if you shoot it enough times it will burst into a bunch of smaller, non-homing bullets that are easier to dodge. The enemies she occasionally summons will drop Souls, so make sure to collect them before they disappear.

1 Regret

Revita screenshot of Regret

After defeating Mother, you'll fight the crying stone statue known as Regret. The only part of the boss that can take damage is its face - the six hands it controls are invulnerable and will block any bullets you shoot. When it moves its hands in front of its face and shoots out several dense rings of bullets, stop shooting and focus on repeating the pattern of dashing forward and strafing backward.

When two of Regret's hands slowly move across the stage and rain bullets down on you, dash to either side of the arena to avoid the bullets at first, then dash back to the center to dodge the rest of the attack. After Regret slams their fists on the far sides of the arena, get ready to jump, since the hands will charge back towards the center of the stage for a second hit.
