Upon first playing Revita, you may find yourself a bit lost in all the nuances of the game's mechanics. Revita begins with a short tutorial that explains the basics of combat and movement, as well as a boss fight that you're meant to lose, but there are many systems that you still have to learn about once that tutorial is over.
For fans of the roguelike genre, the systems that revolve around death and finding secrets may be familiar. Likewise, the controls and fluidity of combat may be familiar to those who like twin-stick shooters. But even with experience in both genres, there's a lot that could use explaining in Revita.
8 It's Best To Unlock Relics In Pairs
In the starting hub, also called Memoria Station, an NPC known as The Imprisoned resides behind a set of curtains. By giving some of your Soul Coins to The Imp🌳risoned, you can make new Relics appear on future runs. Any two Relics you unlock in this way will also be equipped at the s൩tart of your next run, allowing you to familiarize yourself with their abilities.
But if you unlock a third Relic, you'll un-equip the oldest one you unlocked. Since you can't view your Collection until you start a run, unlocking this third Relic will prevent you from learning about the one you un-equipped. Because of this, it's best to unlock only two at a time.
7 Dashi🤡ng Is More Powerful Than You Think ಞ
Dashing, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:similar to dodge rolling in Enter The Gungeon, is one of the core mechanics of Revita. You learn how to use it as an evasive movement option in the tutorial, but you're only taught that the dash can pass through enemy projectiles. If you spend enough time experimenting in the tutorial, you may also discover that the dash takes a few seconds to refresh, meaning you have to wait before using it again.
But what the game doesn't tell you is that dashing also lets you pass through enemies. This massively improves the power of this movement option, as it allows you to navigate around a group of enemies to snatch Souls before they disappear.
6 There Are Multiple Ways To Open Chests 🤪
There are many types of chests in Revita, and most can only be opened by paying a price, so it's important to know whether the sacrifice is worth it. Green, blue, and red chests all cost hearts to open, but they're guaranteed to give you a Relic: green chests give common Relics, blue chests give Rare Relics, and red chests give Legendary Relics. Cursed (purple) chests give you a random Relic at no health cost, but they also give you a random Curse. All these chests also have a chance to drop pickups.
If you don't want to make these sacrifices, whether because you're low on health or you want to avoid a Curse, you have a second option: shooting the chest to gain Soul, and by extension health. There are also small chests, but they don't have a cost and only give you Soul, as well as the occasional pickup.
5 There Are Two Secret Ro☂oms Per Area
168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Much like other roguelikes, Revita has secret rooms with extra goodies. You can find one secret room and one super secret room in every area, but the entrances have to be discovered first. If the music fades when you approach a wall during combat, and if the wall flashes white when shot, you've found a secret room. Make sure to find and shoot this wall before combat ends, otherwise you won't be able to access the secret room. Defeat all enemies in the room, then return to the wall and shoot it several more times to enter the secret room.
Super secret room walls, when hit, won't flash white and won't make the music fade. To find these elusive rooms, you'll instead have to watch the animation of your bullets: if they pass through the wall there's nothing there, but if they disappear upon hitting the wall there's a super secret room. Both types of secret rooms will never be attached to rooms that have other doors, so you're not required to attack every single wall in Revita.
4 The Chainmeter Is A Super Val🍒uable💫 Upgrade
After a few runs, the Tinkerer NPC will appear on the top floor of Memoria Station to sell you permanent upgrades called Expansions. Expansions cost Material, a resource you can obtain by killing bosses, or by giving Soul Coins to the Metro Apprentices on the lowest floor of Memoria Station. The Tinkerer's Chainmeter Expansion adds a slowly draining meter to the top right of your screen that slightly fills up every time you kill an enemy.
Killing enemies in quick succession and filling the meter will increase your Chainmeter multiplier, which will make Souls you pick up charge your Soul Bar faster. This Expansion will incentivize you to kill enemies as quickly as possible: more Souls means more health𒉰, and more Relic upgrades!
3 ꦗ All Soul Guns Are Worth Tryi꧋ng
Eventually you'll have the option to unlock new Soul Guns in a room underneath Memoria Station. Soul Guns are unlocked with Material, and there are eight base guns. These include familiar weapons like the Rocket Launcher and Sniper Rifle, and some creative weapons like the Orbit Gun, which makes your bullets orbit around you.
These Soul Guns all offer different playstyles and synergize with Relics in different ways, so don't hesitate to experiment with them. After unlocking all the base guns, you may find that there are even more guns to unlock.
2 You Can Recycle Relics For Fr🐻ee Upgrades
Not all Relics are equally useful on a run. In fact, you may take a Relic that sounds cool in theory, but it actually makes your run more difficult. If you want to get rid of this pest, you first need to beat the area's boss and talk to the Metro Apprentices in The Metro.
The Metro Apprentices can only remove one of your Relics per area, but they'll give you a Relic Hammer for doing so. Relic Hammers can be used to upgrade your other Relics without needing to sacrifice your max health, making the exchange very worthwhile.
1 There's A Fishing Minigame!
Who doesn't love 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:fishing in video games? Unlocked after freeing the Fisherman, the fishing minigame in Revita requires Bait that can be randomly found while exploring the Clocktower. To catch a fish, first make sure you hold down the cast button until you see a flash, at which point you can release it. This will guarantee that you cast the rod as far as possible. Then, reel 🌄the line in so it ends up in front of a fish and wait for a bite.
When a fish is hooked, press the Reel In button to begin pulling it towards you. Press and release the Reel In button to stay within the bar that appears, otherwise the fish will escape and waste your Bait. When the fish is swimming away, the bar will empty and fill up much quicker, so stay on high alert while you're reeling in your line. Once you've caught all the fish you want, feel free to sell them to the Fisherman for some Soul Coins!
