There's quite a host of rooms in Rimworld. They will be 'created' when a room (an enclosed space with a roof) contains the correct furniture inside.

It is possible for a room to have multiple uses - for example, a room with a bed and a table in it will technically be both a Bedroom and a Dining Room. However, certain rooms are singular and should be kept separate. It's important to check on your production items (such as crafting stations and research benches) to see if they will be working at maximum efficiency within the rooms they aཧre placed in.
