168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Riot Games creative director Jason Killingsworth is leaving th♍e studio after six years to launch his new independent book publishing company, Tune & Fairweather, which will be based in Dublin, Ireland.
At Riot Games, Killingsworth was mainly focused on European gamers by managing creative teams, producing in-game events, and designing live-stream broadcasts, among other responsibilities. The company is best known for 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:League of Legends, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Teamfight Tactics and Valorant.
Killingsworth, who spent a decade working in print at Paste, Edge and Official PlayStation Magazine UK, launched a Kickstarter campaign for Tune & Fairweather, raising more than $161,000. The success🔥 of the campaign encouraged him to go all in and leave Riot Games, though 🃏he says he thankful for the investment the gaming company made in his career.
Tune & Fairweather, whose logo is inspired The Book of Kells, will draw inspiration from “the healthy tension between order and chaos, home and adventure.” With his new venture, Killingsworth, who was born to American missionary parents but grew up in Ireland, hopes 🍌“to create a home for authors and illustrators who share his fascination with the winding, slithering path.”
Tune & Fairweather arose out of You Died: The Dark Souls Companion, a book Killingsworth co-authored with former Kotaku UK editor Keza MacDonald in 2016 that explores death through text and illustration. After being rejected by a publisher when he proposed a deluxe hardcover edition of the book, he ca♌me up with the idea for Tune & Fairweather, which he says indulges his love of print.
Recalling his past in publishing, he says, ✤“There was a tactile reward you got from pick🐻ing up a magazine, a sense of having built something enduring, that you just didn’t get seeing your work scrolling by in a web browser."
Riot Games, whose latest game is Valorant, announced in January that it was creating a new internal studio, Riot Tabletop, which is developing several games at the moment. The first scheduled to be released is Tellstones: King's Gambit, a bluffing game for two or four players.
