Riot Ga🌺mes has revealed an esports tournament series 🎀for VALORANT, the developer’s new first-pe🥀rson tactical shooter. VALORANT’s esports 💃potential has been a topic of discussion since the game went into closed beta earlier this year. Now in partner🍌ship with over 20 esports organizations, Riot looks to make VALORANT the next big esport with the Ignition Series.

Wh🎐alen Rozelle, Riot Gam𒁃es’ Senior Director of Global Esports, detailed the VALORANT Ignition Series in a . Alongside VALORANT Esports Str🧸ategy Lead Kasra Jafroodi, Rozelle explains that the Ignition Series is the first step in building a “robust competitive ecosystem for VALORANT.” The game repo🅺ဣrtedly saw hundreds of tournaments during the closed beta, and Riot Games hopes to build on that competitive interest following the recent full launch.

The two explain how the VALORANT Ignition Series was born out of a need for an easy-to-follow competitive circuit. “We want to celebrate VALORANT competition globally by making it easier to follow the sport through a more organized cadence of events.♐”

To kickstart the VALORANT Ignition Series, Riot Games 🧸has partnered with ove🀅r 20 esports organizations, each of which will host their own VALORANT events. Regional events will take place in Europe, North America, Southeast Asia, Oceania, and many more. The blog post expresses Riot’s desire for players to “begin buildཧing their region’s competitive legacy” through the Ignition Series.

Each event is meant to be unique, with each tournament organizer implementing their own competitive flavor. The tournament series will include 𝓡invitationals with the game’s top talents, open qualifier circuits with rising amateurs, and will provide organizers the space to explore their creativity. The VALORANT Ignition Series is slated to begin on Friday, June 19th, with the European G2 Esports 🍰Invitational and t🍰he RAGE VALORANT JAPAN Invitational.
