Small reminder, if you are worried about these changes aꦕffecting your progress from the previous season, don't worry; if anything, developers over at Rocket League have added new ways to save your progress by introducing cross-platform progression.
On top of a new season, there will be a new rank added that goes beyond the previous rank system. You can grind away at the new rank Supersonic Legend. Supersonic Legend is now the final rank in Rocket League. Grand Champion will now be split into three ranks titled Grand Champion⭕ 1, Grand Champion 2, and Grand C🀅hampion 3, respectively.
To balance the influx of new players, ranks will face a s💦oft reset and ideally level the playing field for new players, alongside returning players. Thankfully ranked play will be locked behind the requirement of reaching level 10. We hope this requirement keeps hackers or cheaters at bay for now.
Other Changes Incoming With The New Update
While free-to-play will bring microtransactions, for better or for worse, you can at least rest easy knowing that Playstation Plus or Nintendo Switch Online will no longer be required to pla🍌y Rocket League online. Additionally, Rocket ID is now being absorbed into the Epic friends list, so your Rocket ID will transfer over to your Epic Games account.
