Gaming’s most wholesome eSport is coming t♓o Nint♋endo Switch.

In an announcement during the Nintendo Spotliඣght: E3 20ܫ17 Direct video, and confirmed on the , developers Psyonix have announced that Rocket League will be coming to the Nin🦹tendo Sw🌟itch later this year.

Originally released in 2015, Rocket League quickly became one of the hottest games of that year, grossing over $50 million in sales by the end of t🗹heir first year. It’s also won a ton of industry awards, including two D.I.C.E Awards for Sports Game of the Year and Outstanding Ach🍎ievement for Online Gameplay in 2016.

As of today, Rocket League boasts over seven millio♚n current players and ha🌠s sold over 10.5 million copies.

With these kinds of accolades, and that many players, it’s no surprises that Rocket League is also a big de⛄al in eSports. Both the Electronic Sports League (ESL) and Major League Gaming having Rocket League as an officially sponsored game, with professio𒈔nal teams competing in tourna🦂ments across the globe. Psyonix themselves have their own tournament, called the Rocket League✃ Championship Seriesཧ, which they’ve been hosting since the game’s first release.

First played on PC and Playstation 4, Rocket League quickly🎃 came to Xbox One, and now it seems it will be jumping to the Nintendo Switch.

Along with the💦 move will be the usual cross-promotional content, with exclusive Nintendo-themed cars and customizations. Already confirmed will be Mario and Luigi hat-toppers, which will make Switch players readily identifiable. Hopefully, there will be a Samus-themed car skin along with an F-Zero car model in the near future.

Rocket League will be supported across all of the Switch’s game modes, includin🤪g TV Mode (docked), Tabletop Mode, Han꧅dheld Mode, and both Online and Local Multiplayer.

Most important of all, however, is the fact that Rocket League will be network comp🐓atible wit💫h both Steam and Xbox One, allowing Rocket Leaguers to play cross-network online multiplayer games. Once again, Sony has decided to bow out of the fun and keep 🎶their gamers to themselves.

There’s no specific release date yet, but the 💜trailer says to expect Rocket League for Switch “Coming Holidays 2017.” The Rocket League website says it will share more later this year.
