Psyonix announced today that Rocket League's Season 2 will beg💟in on December 9. The new season i🌌s "a celebration of music" and will bring a new soundtrack, a new Rocket Pass, and a new musical feature called Player Anthems.

Player Anthems are a customization option coming to 🅘Rocket League on December 9. After scoring a goal, you'll now be able to pick a song that plays for everyone in the lobby. It sounds a bit like the Music Kits in Counter-Strike, where a brief audio clip is played by the MVP following each round. Psyonix didn't provide much more𒈔 detail on the feature but said to check its website tomorrow for more info.

EDM artist Kaskade will also be br𒁃inging new music to the world of Rocket League. "Psyonix partnered with long-standing partner and electronic music label Monstercat and acclaimed producer Kaskade to create an EP of songs for Rocket League Season 2. The first song, "Flip Reset," with WILL K, is now available in-game, featured in the Season 2 trailer, and on streaming platforms." Kaskade will periodically release new tracks throughout the season.

A new season isn't complete without a new Rocket Pass. This time around, you'll be unlocking music-themed items, some of which will actually flash to the beat of the music playing in your current game. You'✤ll have over 70 tiers to work through that reward you with dozens of unique items – including the aptly named R3MX car.

Beyond those big features, December 9 will intro🐈duce a new EDM-inspired Arena (Neon Fields), Rocket Labs, and various updates to Competitive Rewards and Challenges. More information will be released in the coming days, but you can check out the official announcement post on the .

Rocket League's had an action-packed 202🐟0 – not only did it switch to a free-to-play model, but it also launched 🐷on next-gen platforms. Season One wrapped up at a great time, with new console owners able to begin a fresh new season on December 9.
