Psyonix has officially announced that the mobile Rocket Le🐠ague spin-off, Rocket League Sideswipe, is . Fans in Oceania can jump into the Pre-Season action, and a worldwide rollout is reportedly just around the corner.
Unlike the Rocket League you've grown accustomed to over the past few years, Sideswipe is played from a 2D perspective – and is exclusive to mobile platforms. You'll compete in short, 2v2 or 1v1 matches that take the standard Rocket League tropes and adapt them to a new 2D vantage point. It's also bringing a brand-new soundtrack, featuring none other than Monstercat.
"Pre-Season will allow players to get warmed up in Rocket League Sideswipe and its Rocket Pass, Competitive Ranks, and Customization options before the official Season 1 begins," Psyonix announced. "Players will need to log in with an Epic Games Account to play Online Matches and can earn extra XP across Rocket League and Sideswipe just by playing and linking an account. More details on additional Rocket League and🌊 Rocket League Sideswipe crossovers will be revealed soon."
Rocket League Sideswipe will eventually be available for free around the globe, although Psyonix is yet to announce an official release date. However, it dಌid mention that all fans can expect to get their hands on the game "soon."
