It looks like the world of livestreaming will be receiving yet another celebrity, as WWE star Ronda Rousey has decided to join the party. Rousey announced that she will be streaming exclusively for Facebook Gaming, with her debut slated for February 18th at 3:0🅘0pm PT, with all proceeds from the event g꧋oing towards Australian bushfire recovery efforts.
Apparently, gaming has always been a large part of Rousey's life. In a recent statement she mentioned that playing games is a great way to keep her mind active when her body is "too sore or tired to move." Her love for gaming started back in the era of Pokémon Blue, when she stumbled across an Articuno and thought that it "looked like an angel." Rousey will get to share that love for Pokémon with her millions of followers, as 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pokémon Sword & Shield is the first game she will be streaming.
The streaming industry is becoming increasingly lucrative, so it's no surprise that another celebrity is trying to cash in. What is surprising, though, is that Rousey actually has experience in the world of gaming. She previously on GameTalk.com, and even voiced Sonya Blade in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Mortal Kombat 11. Whether or not she was a good pick for that role is 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:up for debate, but one thing is forꦺ certain — she reaཧlly does care about games.
After the first stream on February 18th, Rousey will try to stream on a regular basi⛄s, likely "Sunday or Monday mornings." And while she hasn't made an official statement as to why she chose Facebook Gaming over another service such as Twitch, it probably has something to do with the fact that she already has an established following of over 11 million fans on the platform.
Facebook Gaming has been on the rise lately, with streaming hours increasing 210% from 2018 to 2019. The service is doing everything it can to attract popular streamers, and many of them are reporꦏting that they earn more money on Facebook than elsewhere. Whether or not Rousey will find success is unknown, but we're sure her millions of followers will at least tune in for the first broadcast on Tuesday.
