The E3 rumor train is running at full steam, this time with some compelling news about Pokémon on Nintendo Switch. According to a few sources, Pokémon for Switch will be a reboot of sorts set in the game's original Kanto region, have heavy Pokémon Go integration, and star Pikachu and Eevee a✤s the starte▨r Pokémon.

The biggest piece of alleged ev﷽idence comes from this picture:

Originally posted on and collected with other rumors on this is the supposed logo for the Pokémon games on Switch. The text reads "Pokémon Let's Go! Pikachu Edition." The 4chan leak claims there will be a Pokémon Let's Go! Eevee Edition as well.

What does this mean for the new games? It certainly doesn't sound like the typical Pokémon naming system. There's no colors, minerals, or astral bodies in the title. That's because, if a similar "" is to be believed, these games won't be traditional Pokémon games. That leak, posted weeks before the alleged logo by a different source, claims that the new games will come in Pikachu and Eevee versions, be a remake of Pokémon Yellow, and feature Pokémon Go integration.

The first two things are certainly plausible. Pikachu and Eevee are very popular, and Pokémon remakes happen all the time. But it's the Pokémon Go integration that has fans scratching their heads and even praying the leaks aren't real. The second leak claims that capturing Pokémon in the Switch games will work the same as it does in Pokémon Go, probably using the Joy-Cons for motion-controlled throws or the touchscreen in handheld mode. There will also be other unnamed but important connections between the two games, and even a device that will link your phone to ♋the Swit💮ch.

While it's important to note that this is all still just rumors, multiple facets of the Pokémon community have been talking about them. , a site known for being a trusted source of Pokémon info, has posted the information. It is posted with a rumor warning, but Serebii even acknowledging at all it at a🌟ll is a big deal.

On the official side of things, The Pokémon Company has remained silent as expected. However, fans have noticed an increased focus on the Pikachu/Eevee pairing in recent merchandi⭕se...

Needless to say, longtime fans of the series are unhappy with the idea of Pokémon Let's Go! Pikachu and Eevee Editions. Both the continued emphasis on the first generation of Pokémon and the seemingly gimmicky dependence on Pokémon Go upset people who just wanted a full-fledged generation eight on a home console. Instead, it seems we're getting another attempt to reach out to the more casual Pokémon audience brought in by Go.

E3 begins on June 12th. That means a little under a month's wait to potentially see the future of Pokémon.
